Finally, I was able to run your tutorial. Here are some steps for beginners like me to run this example. I used eclipse as my IDE.
1.Created a java project, and added this class in the package. src/com/test/model/User.java
2.hiblib directory - I added this to the Java build path in the project properties settings.
3.Set the source folder settings to contain hibernate.cfg.xml in the build path.
4.Rightclick on User.java and click run as application. Hope this helps for beginners like me.

For a beginner like me, this video is very informative and a good starter. But I really really appreciate if you can put some notes for how to run the application. I think I have difficulty setting up the class path. Please help
