  • when do u see full boost?

  • no bov?

  • i have a fully built b18c1 sc6161E turbo'd gsr eg 4 door @12lbs conservative 400hp daily drive tune and your shit seems so much faster its probably because you have a b16 trans and i have a gsr trans. whats all done to the engine? mine is a bored to 2 liter gsr with darton sleeves, ross racing pistons, pauter rods, s300, lowered 8.5-1 compression, skunk 2 intake mani/throttle body, aem fuel rail, and 1000cc rc injectors

  • i got the same problem when accelerating the fuel goes down lol !!!

  • lol ya that shifting was crazy i cant shift that good and i have lsd phantom grip

  • Nice shifting indeed

  • very nice

  • There goes his GAS lol bt fukin sik..

  • @artistickilla47

What happens is the gas is being pushed to the back of the tank by the external force of the car accelerating.

  • the shifting was flawless.

  • rofl watch the fuel gauge

  • dude so far thats the best run ive seen in any turbo hatch, everyone else just spins the tires through their gears your name makes iteven better lol

  • nice car ...whats ur time on the track?

  • wow ur engine doesnt go kaboom ?

  • WTF is up with everyone naming their cars after the motors they swap in?.....You don't have a gsr, you have a civic. Put THAT in your name: Turbo Civic w/ GSR sc61 @ 9 psi.

Other than posing as a dc2....nice car.

  • LOL shit im a honda driver and the comment "all the torque" made me cough drink all over my screen what a joke haha

  • Comment removed

  • it's because the video is accelerated.

  • Comment removed

  • my fuel gauge in my em1 does the same shit it drops almost a 1/4 tank when i get on it hard

  • 1/4 tank in one acceleration lol

  • GG to the fuel

  • lol look at the gas needle

  • yea mine does that when i hop on it too, pretty common in hondas. its not actually using that fuel, just all the torque throws the gas to the back of the tank. and can't get an accurate measure.

  • @DLoc137 all the torque ? oh really lmfao

  • @Red97Avenger the power to weight ratio in a honda is much different than in a muscle car or a truck. if you push 200wtq in a honda, thats pretty fucking good, double than stock on some motors.

  • @DLoc137 i dont believe in torque , as it always differs be each gear ratio . go dyno a car in first or second gear , it will have 2 to 3 times the torque up to 500 ft lbs lol car weight has nothing to do with torque , it more about the squareness and weight of the engines rotating assembly at a given rpm . now if the torque could be kept from fluctuating , maybe an CVT could pull it off , then it would maybe be worth a shit ya know ...

  • @Red97Avenger it doesn't really fluctuate, yes it is different between gears because of the shorter or longer ratios, but it does not fluctuate. if you don't believe in torque then your car wouldn't go anywhere, horsepower means nothing, it's merely a term used to identify how many horses it would take to do the same work that car could, literally. torque is the real figure you wanna focus on.

  • @DLoc137 doesnt really fluctuate ... so why does whp allways stay the same no matter what gear ratios , and torque change through each gear ratio ... high torque and traction will pull the car hard off the line but thats it . what about the all motor hondas running 10s ? that have about 180-220 ft lbs of torque ...

  • @Red97Avenger LOL that's not considered fluctuating, fluctuating is when it goes up to like 200, then back down to 180 and back up to 195 or something...learn the meaning of a word before you use it. and no, torque pulls the car the whole time. and those honda's running 10s are pushing over 300wtq easily im sure.

  • @DLoc137 ... fluctuating between gears ... as in one gear having more or less than another ... as in taking consideration of all gears and basing info from the group instead of a single gear ... all motor hondas dont have anything near 300 ft lbs ... even at the crank . so yeah the torque does fluctuate . and those all motor k series honda have about 230 ft lbs at the crank ... high reving engines dont produce much torque . so how about you learn a thing or two before continuing to reply

  • Nice shifting.

  • NIICE SHIFTING..... i wish i had a gsr or type r tranny. im stuck with the ls reving to 9k lol.. the LS doesnt like power and high reving lol..

  • hey do u have any int. work done?

  • you guys are dumb. 1g heads flow redic amounts of air. evo motors ARE based on the the 4g63 platform. and the reason hondas make a ton more power is the higher compression ratio.

My buddy has a small 16g on his b18 powered crx and he laid down ~330 hp. I think his boost was around 15psi.

  • thats why my integra made 464 whp on 19psi with a to4e 60 trim... o and 9.0 to 1 cr.

  • yeah but the head and valves can't take anywhere near the amount of revs. thanks to Honda's solid lifters it's easy for us.

  • Dats hella fast...

  • A bigger turbo running the same boost as a smaller turbo will make more power because it moves a greater volume of air....Turbo Basics.

  • NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!

  • floatin'...

  • sound nice..

  • It probably is stock motor. But It's still stupid to do that. Think about a 16g or 20g that flows less but spools so much faster. And that car is no where near needing the big of a turbo. You could run more boost on a smaller turbo. Spool faster and have a more usable power band and probably less wheel spin once full boost hits. Big turbos on stock motors are for dyno queens and show.

  • If this car had a 16G it would be way slower, SC61>16G at any boost level. Remember this isn't an awd dsm so there is no need for quick spool. As far as the powerband goes once this car is racing i doubt its going below 5.5K RPM so he should be hitting full boost throughout the whole race. 1slowsi what tires do you have? and do you have LSD? your car seems to hook up better then mine and i only have a 57trim.

  • dude..this isnt a dsm, those turbo's are just too damn small. Honda heads flow WAY better than a 4g63 motor..and dont cry to me about the evo motor cuz its nothing like the 4g63 you'll find in 1g/2g dsms. thats why honda's make good power @ low boost on bigger turbos. they simply need more air than a 4g63.(I made 302whp on a 57 trim t3/t04e @ 9psi and make full boost at 4000ish). and my turbo is WAYYY bigger than a 16g..lol. and the car traps 113-114mph+. stock b18c1.

  • No doubt that Honda head flow WAY better than any DSM head.

Your set up proves me point completely. 9 psi on a 57 trim? That's just retarded. I bet your traps 113-114 at 14.5.

I know its a Honda and rev to god knows where but why not hit full boost sooner, make power faster and lag less?

And you are wrong about the Evo to DSM. The rods and pistons are the same. As well as structure of the bottom end. And the Cams are the same grinds just different set up. The head flows a little more tho.

  • ok, first of all i went 12.8@113.7 on DRs with, stock motor mounts/suspension (wheel hop was insane)..stock motor...on street tires I got a 13.0@ 113mph..and besides why in gods name would you want to make much boost before vtec? I mean...those non vtec lobes misewell be round lol...and btw, the piston and rod size may be similiar..but the bottom end is forged from the factory. duno if pistons are..prolly cast. but in either case...Mivec head...forged bottom end...different spring/retainer setup

  • Why boost before vtec? Double the fun.

No the bottom is not forged. It is a regular cast iron block. With the same rods and pistons.

    Not all Evos had mivec

  • I'm just curious, why such a big turbo to run only 9psi?, unless your planning on going higher of course, but i've seen quite a few hondas running big arss turbos and low boost, it just doesnt make sense to me.

  • The do it because it looks cool.

  • i did some more lookin around and i think its a stock motor which would explain the low boost but he's still kinda doin things backwards, gettin a big turbo, then building the motor, if he even plans on that...

  • It wouldnt really matter which way you go, IMO. You can get a big turbo, THEN build your engine as long as you run your car at a safe psi, tuned. But yes, it would be pretty retarded if he never built his shit. Regardless, this set up has potential. What he needs to do is remove that tach(which is pointless unless your rpm's rev to 9-10) and learn how to shift @ 8200....

  • You're retarded. The tach is there because i dont have one. And that is shifting at 8200. I guess you would know based on NOT being able to see my tach.

  • im not blind but i cant see that your shifting at 8200. What parts do you have other than the sc61? Manifold, wastegate ect.?

  • tight

  • got traction bars or something? hooks really good man

  • was that 2-5?

i'll trade you for my broke dsm :]

    does 300 awhp sound sexy?

  • Obviously it has no torque if he wanted it to have torque he would have put sum heavy ass shit in it.

  • Dude nice shifting what are your tranny upgrades?

  • No tranny upgrades lol. Its just a B16 tranny. The setup so there is no confusion is a completely stock GSR with an SC6152E @ 9psi making 325whp. It made 340whp but timing as retarded some for safety. Its weird but this car never spun through 1st or 2nd like it should have so that just made it a lot more fun. I did have some good tires on it though. The hatch was completely gutted out other than the dash, 2 front seats, and front carpet. She's been running strong for about 2 years now no issues.

  • Lol sounds good, that thing still sounds quick though. How much do you think it weighs?

And what I really meant to say about the tranny was, do you have a short shifter or what?

  • OH, well yeah of course lol.

  • @1slowsi fast shift better than the other

  • Nice setup. Any quarter times in it?

  • :bsflag:

  • @1slowsi That's good power, a bit on the unsafe side being over 300whp. (The piston rings are the weak link). I also have an EG Si, a gsr, a b16 tranny w/ lsd, and am wanting a turbo. I've only heard great things about the SC61, but most of the cars they're on are built. When does this turbo hit full boost?

  • Comment removed

  • Holy toledo! Props to this owner's setup. Seems like the perfect turbo for the engine....man, see how smooth that tranny was?

  • I run 10psi with an LS tranny and I really dont understand why you are calling bs, I think that mine is almost identicly down to the fat chirp into third...if you have the setup you say you may want to look into what is causing your wheelspin, what tranny do you have?

  • i call bs because for one. you start in 2nd. if i mash the gas. i spin through second. and 3rd throws me off the road even with an lsd.

it doesnt sound right, doesn look right and doesnt seem right. so deal with it. im not a hater. in fact i love the car, but things dont add up. so take a chill pill and put your soiled pants back on.

  • No, you're just retarded guy. Take into consideration, tires, road condition, temperature. Not EVERY car has traction issues. And yes Jeff Evans knows his shit. Call BS on him then. I guess his dyno is fucked up huh?

  • you build and swap internals you gain hp as N/A. then you put a turbo on it and 9 psi and you get more hp on top of your already accomplished N/A hp. you probably just got a B18c with a turbo and stock internals, intake manifold, fuel rail and cams. THis guy may not. who knows. This video is far from fake though. nice car.

  • i own a b18c with a sc61 on 11lbs in a 95 civic...

this video doesnt look real at all to me...

the power band seems very unrealistic and my actual opinion is that you dont have that setup and just speed up the video. i call bs on this...

  • Call bs on what? Does this put out more than your B18C does? My friend, you can call BS all you want but this is exactly what it is. It was tuned and assembled by Jeff Evans himself putting down 325whp @ 9psi. Ask around or look it up on honda-tech. You're just like the rest of the haters on youtube.

  • its all about the tuner, Jeff Evans knows his shit!

  • is this kid ni6htrider real? the video doesn't look real? how could it not be real, tell me how any of this was fake...sounds about right to what he is claming as his setup

  • god damn thats quick as hell. nasty :D

  • Nice. I <3 Vtec turbo (soon to boost mine)

    Check out my videos.

  • it sounds clean!

  • Very impressive for just 9psi my brother is going to run that same setup in a couple of months except his is an EF

  • what turbo kit is that?

  • wow... thats all i have to say

  • jesus h. christ. i love that car.

  • Gotta luv turbos

  • DAMN BRO!!! how much did u dyno...that shit is fast..!! nice job man

  • It was a GSR motor with 9 psi. SOCH wouldnt be like that.

  • lol, in the beginning i was like....wtf that dudes steering wheel is fucked up. HAHA. anyways, it sounds nice, but is it a sohc? cuz if it was a dohc it would have been a bit faster.

  • my civic would smash that..

  • lets see a vid then?

  • wow nice car!

  • sounds nice

  • owwww. that shiet is FAST

  • so wat u got in it

  • fookin rapid!!

  • that sounds nice!!!
