  • No, when Lewis ran this 9.78, it was wind-aided with a 5.0 tailwind, so that was recognized as the world record. Lewis also ran a 9.80 at the worlds in 1991, but again it was wind-aided. Funny thing was Flo-Jo world record was perhaps wind-aided, because it was set about 30 mins earlier.
