I lags like a motherfucker on my computer. I got everything on Meduim settings. 4 GB RAM, Tripple Core 2.44 GHZ, HD 4670 1 GB Graphic card. Son of a bitch.

The game's only optimized for one core, so it doesn't matter how many cores you have, it comes down to how fast your CPU is.

I'm on a QX9650 with two 9800GX2s and 4GB of RAM. Works quite nicely with me, but upon checking CPU usage, this game only uses one core.

Health is basically body temperature. You're in the freezing arctic, sub-zero temperatures, so keeping warm is everything, and that's what the designers adopted as the health system, which I find quite clever.

As for blood and gore, there kinda' isn't any, but when you play it you don't really care because it's scary as hell, and watching the story unfold is awesome, though perhaps a bit slow for most people.

The fact is this game IS better than Bioshock. The storyline is very in-depth if you actually pay attention. The jump-factor and sheer scariness of this game blows Fear, Fear 2, Bioshock, Deadspace, and any other horror shooter right out of the frozen water. This game demands more respect, especially with those with computers that can actually play it, and enough with the complaints about steep requirements, people were crying about that with Crysis, and still are. This game is a 10 out of 10.

Its different. Thats the point, no, you dont run around like an idiot shooting everything that moves. AND OMG, IT ISNT BASED ON WWII!!!!!! What a concept!?!?!?! The physics and such are amazing, hence nvidia showcasing a demo for the physX built into the 8800 and above cards. Apparently you dont have a new card, or else the water effects and physics would blow you away. /shrug

How would you be walking in sub-zero temperatures, wearing really thick arctic clothing, whilst having fallen into an ice crevice earlier?

The only reason you think Bioshock and F.E.A.R. rule over this game is because those two require less thought and understanding to reveal the story.

This game has a far deeper story in the end, like I said in another comment here.

To be fair, Crysis was extremely graphically intense, whilst this game performs like crap because it's not multi-threaded like others are.

So, can't really compare performance to Crysis in that respect.

I heavily disagree, whilst at the beginning this game seems to be nothing more than what you described, the story goes far deeper than Bioshock, and the way it unfolds is very interesting whilst being disturbing.

It requires quite a bit of thought for most people to understand what's happened, but in the end it all makes sense.

It would make a brilliant movie, in fact.

If you want to find out what happens, just read up on Wikipedia, and it totally spoils it for you XD.

Bioshock appeals more to action-oriented people, less than story anyway.

This game is all about the story and how it unfolds.

Think this game would get rapidly boring with such a gameplay. Sit by a light and warm your hands, have a flashback or two, hit a tard infected and go warm yourself up again. You cannot compare this to bioshock. Penumbra certainly but leave bioshock alone on it's throne :p

But this game is completely different from Bioshock in every way. Bioshock was good, yes, but mainly a console port from 2 years ago is how I remember it. Cryostasis is a new game with new graphics.

Looking further into gameplay videos and installing the tech demo I noticed the water physics are amazing and the general looks of this game could prove to be amazing. Still, I can't wait to check the gameplay out for myself. Until then I'll shut my gob and wait for a playable demo.

it's a good game.you can go back in time in the bodyes of other people and change things that will affect the future.i don't think you can do that in Bioshock.

Holly fuck!!!, this game seems to be awesome, my kind of game. MUST HAVE! ah, almost forgot, i dont' think that this game looks like bioshock, like MONY1 said, the atmosphere is a lot diferent than bioshock.
