Malaria accelerates poverty in many families as the mother father and kids are down and cannot do work like gardening for family food production or have the kids go to school. Of Uganda's 31 million population some 40% live on less than 1 US$ per day fo a family of 10 people, Dad, Mama, and 8 kids. A family lives on about 240 US$ income a year. And with 3.3% birthrate, 1 million babies are born per year in Uganda! A rapid expanding population.
The United States lost millions to malaria before it was eradicated from our land. I can't imagine the suffering of those who died and those who survived to watch their love ones die at the hands of malaria. I am grateful to NETwork Against Malaria for this video and teaching me that there are people in this world still suffering from this terrible disease. For just $10 - I will help!

I am a mother. I do not understand why people have babies in places like this.They only bring suffering to their children and short lives.
