  • I tried this recipe with urad flour and it turned out fine but I thought some flavour was lacking maybe next time I'll add hing as well.

  • @tatri1 Chef Sanjay did mention that you can use Urad Flour if you roast it. Just put your cup of Urad Flour in a dry pan or wok over medium heat, stirring constantly for a few minutes. It will soon gain a golden or brownish color, and your final recipe will have a richer flavor.

  • do you cook with the big spoon behind you! ha..

  • Hello Chef, Thanks for the recipe. I have tried this recipe using urid flour from the indian store and the recipe is perfect. My family loved it. This was eaten everyday by my family and was over in a few days. I will have to make more, cause it was so amazing. Thanks again!!

  • Darn... another 2 hour trip to the Indian store to find that contraption to make this.

Evey time Chef tastes his cooking it makes me want to try it too. He is getting me addicted to this Indian cooking and I am just a plain boring American. I am confusing my neighbors with these Indian cooking smells coming from my apartment. .

  • LOOL, dude make your own Contraption its easy

  • Hey, IraqiDotCom, you should make a video for me on how to make one of these contraptions. Please don't send me to some far off place to get the parts. I was looking around my apartment to see what I would use to take up your suggestion and there is nothing. Perhaps our apartments are filled with different things.
