It wasn't canceled so much as it was "placed on hold, indefinitely". Because FRD went under new management and was bought by Crytek UK, their personnel have been mostly involved in the next Crysis game... do a Google search for clarifications.

I think it's a stroke of genius having Cortez fire the signal to kill a guard, only to almost be bombed to death... very clever writing :)

but then this is one of the better FPS's to the PS2...

I still play it sometimes, co-op with my brother... why won't newer gen. games have local co-op?!

I'd say both Timesplitters 2 and 3 are both 5* games but there are little things that each one that are better than the other. For instance Future perfect has the Graphics and Story. But I felt number 2 had a few better levels and game modes. Nonetheless both are awesome :D
