Stop fucking moaning people who pick fault with this and just be thankful you lived in an era when great music and bands were still about, the most important thing was the music and not some stupid fucking dance video, great guitarists, song writers and vocalists were still out there and groups were musicians!! Long live Rainbow!
Blackmore is great but he is learned a lot from Jon Lord, and he trains a lot, still manages to feel spontaneous and not just like Hendrix or Gilmour who never practiced his guitar!
@holicat098 What the fuck are you talking about? Spontaneous? It just sounds unprofessional and sloppy. Blackmore doesn't sound like he ever wrote a solo, just went in and winged it every time. It may fool silly little boys such as yourself, but Gilmour wrote solo's that touch the very essence of the soul! Gilmour is mere vessel for the gods to communicate to mere mortals such as ourselves. Take heed my simple friend.
It`s sad. First, at 2009, we had bought tickets to see Dio live for the first time. Then he got cancer. Later, we where about to buy some new ones to see him sometimes in 2010, then he died. Its sad, cause Dio was my favourite vocalist since i was six (no, i am not kidding)
I had the privelidge to see all the tours with Dio as well as Turner. Totally different bands, both where great but there was never a doubt that it was Blackmore's band. That Rainbow was cool but it made too much noise. Some nights it was almost as loud as the band. One concert there was such a buzz that Blackmore walked off and cancelled the show. Brings back some great memories..........
I noted 6 dislikes on this song . How can anyone not like such a beautiful song and with a voice like Dio's and a guitarist like Blackmore, it's untouchable \m/\m/
@MyGemini48 Un-fucking-touchable! :O I feel like I Won 10 years of life just because I listened to this song from Youtube. I try to Imagine how indescribable it would be if I was there, at Their live.
Blackmore is an awesome guitarist no doubt, but he doesn't seem like he'd be much fun to have a beer with! LOL! So serious all the time, but he rocks his ass off!
@dpeab11370 yep blackmore is a strange guy.sometimes to serious and too perfect.relax a bit richie life isnt everything about perfection and seriously stuff.enjoy live easy, relaxed and calm.having fun is the best time in life.i dont want to have trouble all the time,ok sometimes it is not possible to run away from problems but easy easy most of the time is great for health and mind
@starblack005 Actually he does play excerpts from two classical pieces in the intro. At 1.00 he plays something reminiscent of Ave Maria and follows that by Jesu Joy of Man's desiring both by Bach.
Blackmore was not just a conoisseur, but a student of classical music! Evident in many solos, preludes, tonal choices, chord progressions and even entire songs both before and after Blackmore's Night!
Best rock ballad ever? Not sure about that one as there are a few crackers out there. I rate Thin Lizzy's "Still In Love With You" from the "Live & Dangerous" set up there. I love Blackmore, Deep Purple, Rainbow, et all. Classic sounds, classic era!
