Yes I would say aproximately 28 mph. Each powered parachute flies at about the same speed (plus or minus 3-4 mph)depending on weight & powerplant.

He had just taken off when he encountered the wind. He continued dropping power until he found less wind at about 40' and continued with his flight.
That's hilarious! It's amazing how winds aloft can be so much different that winds on the ground. I can't wait until my first PPC flight!
