@skinnymonk It's all about hearing protection man. I use molded ear filters from westone. They're about $150 and worth every penny. I use molded in ear monitors live in conjunction with a buttkicker system. My hearing is great, I've always taken care of my ears, from day one. I use loud snares and cymbals and sing harmonies as well...I need my hearing.

Sticks are too long for being such a tight set up. Makes it sloppy and choppy. Try using Ahead 5B. Your set up looks uncomfortable. Pearl has that problem with their hardware. Making everything awkward. But the Drums are nice and Expenise. Good for you. Rock On.

The 'knot shit got my kicks up. When the first album dropped I was in sixth or seventh grade. Between that album, Pantera's Far Beyond Driven, and Fear Factory's Obsolete/Digimortal records, I chopped my feet pretty hard for a year or so, then kept pushing myself with Dimmu Borgir, Nile, etc.

I still love playing that "old" stuff though, ya know? I shot this one night in an old rehearsal room for the hell of it

Pearl Eliminators. At the time I was using the chain drives with red cams, springs a little over medium tension, pedalboard all the way forward. However, I've been playing the belts with blue cams at a medium tension with the pedalboard in the furthest back position since March and feel much more relaxed & comfortable with this particular setup, which will usually allow me to play a little faster... or so it seems at times.

maybe its just me, but i think i might have heavy feet, i've had the same pedals prolly for a good 2 years now, and recently they left pedal broke..not beyond repair, but the keeper and that part near the cam on the chain keeps coming apart, idk if u know what im talking about but there is a peice with 2 prongs that goes into the chain, held together by a c shape peice, which a guy told me it was called a keeper, do u think maybe its the way i have it set up or do u think im hitting too hard

I'm tracking all afternoon but I'll check out one of my pedals and see what you mean. Are you referring to the piece on the cam that allows you to shift the chain's position? I have the pedal schematic I can email you if you send me a message with your e-address. You'll be able to identify the part number and either order a new one or a new chain assembly (which lists at $13, usually sells for $8 or $9)
