@TheBarronsMovieTeam Not the SOG I bought wouldn't. The damn thing was blunter than a butter knife. Oh, and katana's are pretty lousy at stabbing, it's not what they are designed for after all. What would be interesting though is seeing how a large chef's knife did. Those are what are used in most knife attacks in the UK. A very informative vid though :)

That stuff is amazing! As a Correctional Officer, it really makes me happy to see those commercially made knives fail to penetrate the panel. I wear a stab vest quite often and it's good to know what those things can do! How do you think it would do against something like an ice pick? Many of the shanks we find at the prison aren't really blades, but thin pieces of sharpened steel rods that are similar to ice picks.

@Wiggy8675309 Hi , i have read that these panels and vests are also resistant to spikes/shanks, i will do another test soon with some other weapons including a shank or spike type weapon. i think it will still hold up fine against these items.

Holds up the knifes pretty good. I guess it's light enough to carry these plates all day around if you need to, definitely lighter than those bullet proof vests.

@ecky1994 Well, due to the wide point of the Tanto knife, it is quite obvious why it did not penetrate the panel. The tanto would make its way through a bullet proof panel, but not this stab proof one.

Very good resistance! You should try it with a push dagger or any other type of dagger blade. Also try it with the crossbows =)

@WhitepwrItalian1, No, you are Wrong the reason are - 1. Price - bullet proof can be 4x more expensive, 2. some say bullet proof vest don't protect against knives, its all to do with the forces involved and uses of different materials

@WeaponCollector and @whitepwritalian1 bulletproof vests are usually weaved, because an plating can bust through the vest into you, its like rope, its hard to cut the whole thing at once, but if you sperate the strands and cut, its easy, so if you can stab through bulletproof vests, because it is weaved and a blade will cut each strand by itself being thrusted
