As Birds Fly over Jerusalem - Bible Prophecy - The times of the Gentiles fulfilled

I heard a prophecy that the abomination of desolation is the Dome of the Rock that was built in 688 during to Islamic invasion, and the time of the Gentiles, as written in Revelations, ended up after 42 "months". Considering days as years, and calculate in the mordern solar year, the prophecy is fullfilled in 1967,wich has everything to do with the context, since it's the year of the 6 war days in Israel ?Is the prophecy wrong ? Isn't Dome of the Rock the Abomination of desolation in Jerusalem ?

@humbleman9 - Jesus spoke to the apostles during the "times of the Gentiles". Jerusalem was taken away as an independent city during the times of the Babylonian Empire. The 7 times (2,520 years) started during this time. The 42 months, or "time, times, and a dividing of a time", is the time prophecy regarding Papal supremacy. This is the time when the so-called “one true church” martyred 50 million Gospel-believing Christians.

This was simply amazing...this is what I LOVE about God's Living Word, He puts everything out there for us to search and find if only we would simply seek Him!! You can't truly know history without the wisdom of Biblical Prophesy:

Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

@redcolt777 - No, there are many that hold thid view. It's not a denominational view, but more of a view who study both history and the Bible. The problem is, so many of the pastors today teach the 2-stage secret rapture, so they are not looking for prophecy to be fulfilled because everything is way out there after we've blown off to heaven. Thus the congregation doesn't get the message.

@bibleortraditions this is very true. also we dont need denominations, a church is our own personal relationship with God. in matt 16:18 the rock or earth which peter will build the church on is defined as faith in Genisis 1:10 when the dry land is called earth, and it is built on the firmament which is defined at holiness in verse 6, and in verse 7 it is called Heaven, not one of the 3 heavens, so Heaven is established as something holy and with God: one who is born again

This tells us what kind of nation shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, and rule the nations. The nation that keeps the truth. Something America, England and the West have fallen away from doing.

Hi BoT. I love your work. Could you reference your source to the year of 604 as Neb's besieging? I've consulted several sources from Ussher to Jahn and the year they cite is 606-07 BCE. Is it Guiness' date?

This was in the fourth year (Jer. 25:1; 46:2) which was still the first year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, 605/604 BCE. He reigned conjointly from the spring, and alone from the first week of September 605 BCE. The later part of Neb's 1st year of reigning fell in 604 when Jerusalem became a controlled state...

@CorrosionX3 - They had that opportunity in 1967 during the 6 Day War. But wisdom prevailed. If someone was to blow up the two mosques, an unbelievable war would break out. Certainly nothing would be able to be built.

Anyways, their whole "holy place" justification is based on myths. What they believe about their #1 holy place is also pure fiction (Ibrahim and Ishmael my foot!).

@sheepfax - It could have been brass or bronze they saw melted and mistook it for gold. Or perhaps, the divine will of God melted the metal fixtures because they were no longer needed. Judaism had its fulfillment in Christ, and now it is a dead religion. Thanks for the comments.

@sheepfax - I was also thinking of the great veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom when Christ bowed his head and died. They veil separated the Holy of Holies where the Arc of the Covenant was kept. The veil was 4" thick and 60' high. This was a supernatural act signifying the shedding of Jesus' blood was a sufficient atonement for sins. The Holy of Holies was open for all people, for all time, both Jew and Gentile. This too could have been a supernatural event.

@sheepfax Much of the gold was "gold leaf". Used to coat the surface of the wood structure. I'm guessing gold leaf would melt much easier then a solid gold.

Yes, the Brits were good Christians and kept the Bible faithfully. Just look at Charles Spurgeon for example. British soldiers who were Christians even celebrated Christmas with the German soldiers who were Christians even though they were supposed to fight against each other.

Nowadays however, True Christianity in Britain and Germany is slowly fading away due to the Ecumenical and Darwinian nonsense.

If the time of the gentiles ended when Britain conquered Jerusalem forcing the Turks out, then It sounds like you believe that the British are non-gentile Semites and the Turks are gentiles. Is that what you believe? Also, millions of people victimized by Britain would not agree that it is a righteous nation.

It is unfortunate, but many times the actions of the government does not necessarily reflect the wishes and desires of the people. We know this is true in our own country.  Wars waged without declarations; military action taken with countless killed or injured. Governments tend to be more wicked than righteous. Letss be frank, our government lies to us. But in the 19th centuries, Britain, America, etc., were Christian nations. The PEOPLE accepted the truth of repentance and salvation.
