I am very confident with photoshop, because that's all I know, but aparently "most" pros use both, because the organization side of lightroom and the awesome editing features on photoshop...Do you recomend getting LR3?
Although Photoshop is a very powerful tool, I personally find it to be too much on the over-kill side for editing photos, although I use it when needed.
Lightroom is my first choice for Post Pro Photography because of its intuitive Work Flow Modules.

@armouredhen30 The prices varies from $88 to $300. In US we have special student discounts. I was able to get LR3 for $68 when the regular price was $300. A lot of stores have dropped the prices as LR4 is coming out next year. You'll have to google it.

or you can use Crtl+A to select all the pictures so you don't have to scroll down the last pictures when you have like hundreds of pictures ;)
