  • The year was 1982. The band had just lost one of its original members (drummer John Coghlan). The other three - Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt & Alan Lancaster -decide to carry on, as they recruit new drummer Pete Kircher and also make keyboard player Andrew Bown a fully recognised member of Quo.

    The new Quo line-up proved that it was still a force to be reckoned with, as Dear John reached the UK Top 10.
