ok very simple. Never ever go to an authorized retailer for any phone service. Always go to a company owned store. 1st mistake. 2nd mistake buying insurance. almost every electronic product you buy comes with at least a 1 year manufacturers warranty. I just personally just ordered my first metro phone online. Im gonna do the 40 a month plan. ditching my 80 a month iphone. Metro is really good in my area and i only txt and use the phone anyways. love no contract and half the price~!
at our stores.. we used to not ask for the security question cuz customer forget anyways. but we just set it as ur first name.. for a blackberry insurance would have be a great idea to ..... besides selling insurance makes sells look better..
I work for MetroPCS.. And what I can say is that some dealers suck.. They setup account passwords which customers aren't aware of and we,customer service reps, are the ones taking the blame whenever customers can't get to access their accounts and we refer them to main ones to retrieve it..
@factsheet I realized that it wasn't really the MetroPCS that was the problem but the individual dealer was the problem. When I went to an actual MetroPCS location they were very helpful with additional information I wanted to know. Thanks for watching and responding.
it tells you in th brochure for the insurance and online... its common sense that you get it the day you get the phone to prove you haven't done nothing to the phone and your trying to get it because you just broke your phone

I bought a blackberry curve It was $200 plus the $60 for the plan plus the insurance and tax and let me tell you the service sucksss asss. i spent all this money on a phone and I get dropped calls, texting and bbm is so slow. the 2nd week into buying this phone I downloaded an application and my camera wasnt working because of it and I had to pay another $10 to get a new phone. the worst part about it they dont take back their phones which means that you stuck with the phone forever. RIP OFF!!

metro pcs is the worst i had brought a blackberry for $280 and the next month my phone bill was $85 and 2 months before that i had lost my phone and i had to pay for a whole new phone because they never told me about the insurance or the backup that saves all your contacts.

I would defend metro but they are really being asses like really when the blackberry came out my mom spent 300 almost 400 bucks.. i know crazy plus she put insurance on it since she paid that much for the phone.. it worked fine everything great til last week when it went crazy and froze took it to the main store and they couldnt fix it heck they didnt even want to give us a new phone. which sucks cuz why did we get insurance for that reason.. get different company you might get more problems

pretty much as a customer in metro pcs, you really don't need to see them unless you lost your phone or you wanna buy a new phone. there's really no need jus pay as you go. all the passwords are given at the time of purchase.
@btran213 It made me more aware of what to ask next time before I purchase it but at least I was within the 7 day rule and able to get the insurace put on. Because I did not deal directly with a metro pcs dealer is why I had the problem. Otherwise no problem since..
@mskatybabe11 I found out later because I did not use a metro pcs dealer directly, the private dealers can sell their phones anyway they want. At least I was able to get the insurance other than that I love it and have not had any problems since and I go directly to a metro pcs dealer instead.

@divabrownsugar2010 I did, he was playing me for a fool with that idiotic reasoning that the insurance isn't necessary and how most people don't get it. Are you kidding me?! I must've had stupid written on my forehead and not the small print. Believe me I was not going to walk out of their with it unresolved. They are lucky that I did not have to sick my pitbull husband on them...lol! Thanks for watching!

@shari04 They had way many phones cheaper than that but this is a blackberry. My son had priced at other dealers and they were actually over $300. Is that so, when I pick up my new phone I'm gonna ask them that even though I'm planning on paying online, thanks for letting me know that. Obviously they didn't relay that to me either. They definitely didn't want to see me get out my face...lol. Thanks for watching

$280 for a metro pcs phone?!! that's high! i thought their phones were cheap! i think my tmobile blackberry was the same price or maybe just a little higher! my mom has a metro phone and she doesn't like the fact that every time she goes in to pay her bill they charge her $5 just to pay it! she could pay it free online, but she doesn't bother with the internet like that. glad u didn't have raise hell in there!

Wow!! Such lack of customer service, and respect. I would have went off!!! I worked for a major carrier, and never, would I ever do that! I can't stand Metro PCS anyway!! Good standing up to those idiots!

@holmique yeah i know i hate bad service as much as the next person but the point is metro pcs doesn't really need these mindless customer service reps because shit is useless cuz you don't despute shit cuz you pay a flat rate. can't beat it! also don't expect great service for metro you want great service tmobile has best but you pay more though. metro pcs basically caters to people who want to pay less, bad credit peeps, undocumented illegal immigrants who don't speaka english
