  • Great! More tattling and spying software, to condition the masses for our future "Minority Report" lives. No thanks!

  • @22RZE Technology is growing faster than ever and some of it is getting very spooky! if these smart phone are set to track people than you can bet your money the micor chip will take the stand next! mark my word its coming soon...

  • well, if i'm wanting to 'track' someone, i sure don't want them knowing it, and in this case since they do know, i have a phone and call and say 'hey, where ya at' otherwise, what do i care where they are!

  • I see your friends on a map on Google Maps for mobile and iGoogle.

  • "My mawm doesn't have a mobL"

  • The problem with this though is that people know when you're not at home, that your belongings are unprotected. This is pretty neat but I don't want to take the risk.

  • @TheWizardOfAUSTRALIA Pro tip: Hide your position by not accepting invitations from burglars. That would be like someone knocking on your door and asking you to step out while they steal your things.

  • how the hell i add friends? why the fuck i cant just use phonenumbers, fucking stupid data neards never get it right

  • How about buying some proper microphone for the speaker in your clips, Google, it really sounds like shes recorded with one of those tiny plastic mic's which are only ment for Skyping and such...

  • Great app if your friends accept your request

  • Found an app that fixes the update issue, now I can select any update frequency I want! it's a life saver .. works on both Blackberry and Android, the app is called Latitude Update..

  • ???

  • Then she'll know all about him... D:

  • Ok, yes they can track us. But also, we can track our children, teanagers or old one, to be able to find them if they dissapear. Obviously, you wont give permissions to know your location to anyone. Only your more closest people. If you don´t trust in them to know your location, then don´t live with them....

  • oh LOL

so the stalkers are going to create a friendly account and add me

    nuu thanks u.u

but hey this is good for my dog collar

if you give me a thumb down you work for google

  • Todos nós somos rastreados por esses merdas

  • I remember when was on beta (or google lab if you will) and I could see random people , I thought it stopped working but I guess you have to add friends first , thats actually good, I guess... If you have friends =( lol

  • Simply amazing, I use it daily.

  • STUPID GOOGLE ANARCHY ANARCHY !!! GOOGLE = KILL :D

  • Just what all the insecure, snoopy & argumentative Girlfriends + two-faced, possessive/jealous, deceptive/cunning & Oh So sickly-sweet, silver-tongued Fine As Hell (always) Boyfriends and/or PlayMates need to have at their disposal. It just gives You another reason to make sure You've read the large print, the fine print & everything in between 100% prior to accepting, agreeing, or authorizing_PEERIOD!

  • The important point is that you should only share your location with someone very, very confident. Never with girlfriends, boyfriends or buddies. I would use this only with my sons, (if they accepts), or my husband, and my old mother in case she get lost. I assume I can divorce, remove the application or loose the phone if necessary. The freedon does not depends on a phone. If a boyf/girl friend becames a nightmare, just kick him or report him to the police.

  • que pena e não e em português

  • Wish i had friends to add :(

    -forever alone-

  • Muito legal....mas poderia fazer um em português?? Gostaria de usar.

  • fuuuuuuuccckk!! @ 1:03

"Wellhh, maybe they're free for dinnerghe" The needless and constant drawn out stress placed on every third word within a sentence is almost unbearable, save for the fact that most of the girls I date are american and they all speak in this manner. This, "Whore accent" is a dead give away in clubs and bars, it's the audio equivalence of the tramp stamp.

Note to all men who read this minor rant of mine, mental note to you, keep your ears open for the whore accent.

  • Interesting feature, horrible voice actress.

  • @the1969huff It actually annoys my ears when she says "playing tennis??"

  • i Love it!

  • it's great for your REAL friends lol... just never do this with any woman.

  • The ultimate stalking app.

  • @tecnocato great for crush stalkers though

  • @KittyaaSerenaaa486 Ditto - just change male for female!!

  • @KittyaaSerenaaa486 Lol only this comment will make guys chase you

  • The ONLY thing I can see using this for is a parent that wants to keep track of their kid. Other than that, it's NOTHING but trouble.

  • more proof of the Google - NSA connection!

  • @dannyinaus You ain't see nothing yet, what about Facebook? they have used that alot recently. Why does Obama has to meet with the Google and Facebook guys secretely?????

  • Oh my god, I've got to chuck away my 400 pound phone, my 2000 pound computer my 1000 pound laptop my 800 pound gps digital watch.

  • Hey! You Mom doesn't have a phone! How did you know her flight made it okay in New Jersey? LOL! ;-)

  • @garydunncolumbusga You can use it with a computer. The ad made it say 'Home sweet home' as in, they got home and then went on their computer to update that status. lol.

  • How much does this cost?? I have ATT

  • @msgeminifox FREE.

  • How much does this cost??

  • The cute voiced little chick says her friend Ali is Cairo. Might want to tweet him about that...

  • I wouldn't want everyone knowing where I am at all times... If my friends want to know where I am, they can call and ask and I might tell them if I want... I like to be able to go places on my on sometimes...

  • @banditd92 Then stop sharing it when you go to the gay bar?

  • how does this work? it just says 'location unknown'

  • @mikehavens You either need a gps equipped computer or a mobile to determine the location.

  • OMG can I haz big mobile!? :O

  • My mom doesn't have a moball?

    WTF

  • Big Brother is watching you

  • s/w raju bhai r u there...?

  • pretty good

  • Can I locate all the cops nearby on high way?lol

  • geve me your google account

  • i made a phone tracker software on my laptop , but my doesnt require any sign up,just enter the cell number ,and it triangulate your l ocation through an gsm network,i did it just for fun!!it also uses google maps.and satelite photos.

  • @nimjased10 what happens if I enter 911? LOL

  • I wonder how many kidnapping cases this application will solve, in the future

  • @carters2 possibly a few, but seeing as it doesnt apply to sociopaths, because of their extroverted nature and the "last person you'd suspect" they are quite good at what they do, psychopaths on the other hand, this could be somewhat effective, at least if the right conditions are met

  • Big brother is watching!!!

  • it dos't spouret my phone

  • Comment removed

  • HaHa..... The perfect parental leash for teenagers!!! LMAO!

  • i have integrated it with yoursocialmap . com

  • Step right up -- get your Mark of the Beast right here.

  • @davidhmangum Actually, you've got your Mark of the Beast years ago in ninetieths when you got your first cell phone. You can be pinpointed by the authorities when you've ANY mobile phone with you. It even works when it's turned off, you have to remove the batteries to have your phone un-trackable.

This stuff has been around since the beginning of mobile phones, before they fitted in your pocket, and they will not cease to exist. The difference is that Google makes it available to anyone.

  • @MissionStirling you could just take the sim card out and not connect to wi fi

  • @MissionStirling i saw my fist cell phone in a ladys purse in 1988 thats 23 years ago.

  • @davidhmangum It's OK if you don't like Google latitude because you'll be trackable but don't be a hypocrite and please throw away your whole cell phone right away.

  • I want Latitude's technology to be used to get real time traffic info in Google Maps, especially in navigation mode. That could improve the routing, especially during rush hour traffic. Save me time and gas, Google!

  • @YouTumult have you not been on traffic view under layers in google navigation!? it even tells you if there was an accident or there a brush fire! wow.

  • @Chris93036 Not in Germany. Seems like they have no such data here. Well, they could gather that data using Latitude.

  • Big Brother envies Google.

  • SKETCHIN

  • can this service be used when i am not online on the phone? i dont really need the expensive internet charges...

  • Haha, I love paranoid people. Google knows everything, ah, the damnation...

They know my name, employer, what I like to browse, watch, read, my email, chat, phone and now where am located. So what now? What is it I should be afraid of (apart the fear of them knowing all)? Are they going to rob me? Like Google has this special team of people dressed up in colors of their logo letters and they go rob random people people...

  • @mytube232 hahaha your too funny but its that stupid hippy 1970 government conspiracy bs just the other day at work some old man approached me and said I havent had a cellphone in over 30 years, I work with phones so i said sir they have only been around to the general public for about 10 - 15 years. And his response was thats what the government wants you to believe Androids are coming to replace humans they use cellphone to track us so that they can kill us. It was amusing to say the least

  • @mytube232 they could sell that information to someone who will dress up in bright coloured logo inspired attire who will rob/rape/kill you

  • @fullboxxskater hahah, right... did you even bother reading their license agreement? On the other hand, banks have more insight in your life just by looking at your credit card balance. And they never agreed for not selling your data... Go be paranoid now.

  • This will make GPS a retro for a mobilephone

  • How nice, now Google knows everything. As for privacy settings, they stole our personal data on streeview, nobody can trust them

  • I'm using Locr@tes on my iPhone instead, it also shows the location but it's also possible to join groups and therefore lets me connect with new interesting people.

  • I have a iphone 4 and it doesn't work when I try to see my location or my friends location on the map, it shows nothing not even the map and it says your location is unavailable don't know why.

  • I use this to locate my phone if I eve were to lose it or have it get stolen.

  • @pandaSmore love that idea!!

  • nwo secret database

  • How many of your friends have smart phones let alone want to join this?

  • Cool, will solve a big problem with my friends...Pity it doesn't work in Kuwait.

  • Doesn't update my location, only when opening the app. After that, nothinh happens anymore.

  • lol your mum doest have a mobile , but she carries Laptop eh! cool!

  • You stuped people it inwigilation. Its torrible

  • Hi,

Do you all think that Google latitude will grasp all the market of GPS tracking system?

I find they have most of the feature of buddyway, bliin and many other gps tracking systems. and most of those system charge monthly fee

Please share your idea on this.

  • this is no doubt one of the best apps i'v seen in ages! i love it! keep working, guys

  • BIG CRAP !!! --- on mobile browser says please register on computer. on computer says please visit on mobile browser this is very odd O.o

  • SUCKS...doesnt work

  • does the phone have to be on in order for latitude to track? for example, say someone was in an accident and their phone got turned off, can they still be tracked via latitude?

  • @goldmousette yes, the phone must be on and it has to be with latitude running

  • "playing tennis ? maybe we could get together for a rape afterwards !" "going out tonight ? let me break into your house !"

  • this only works if you set the location to where u are?? or is this like a gps system where u can look on the map and see them moving because i tried using this on the computer and it seems like to let people know wher eu are u have to put it up there like set the location ..so never mind i wont use this!

  • @dymepyce616 no, it ties in with your phones gps and is quite accurate. you can set your own location from the computer, but even from the computer, it will show where you are once you give latitude permission. it searches for wifi hotspots and triangulates your position with it

  • @dymepyce616 I totally agree. Not what we thought it was either and useless to us. Maybe something else will come along that is more what we need. We need it for my husband's job. He's a truck driver and precise LIVE ACCURATE tracking would be a great help when coordinating customer calls and stops. . . .

  • LOL@dustinwrye

  • Let's see where dad is... Okay he's... Ewwwwwwww!

  • this could be used for tracking a stolen object!

  • You need to slow down and tell people HOW to get to the screens shown on the video. I can't even get to the first one you talked about............still lost. Video not very helpful at all.

  • @brandissss video isnt a tutorial, watch the tutorial videos for that, this is just showing how/what you can use latitude for

  • @AkhanuHusky . Actually, IMO this program sucks. It always shows where we WERE two hours ago, two DAYS ago. Worthless. Won't keep up live. We hate it and don't use it anymore. Settings are correct according to technical support. Also, when we are at home, it shows my husband at home, but me 4 blocks away where I have never even BEEN when in fact I'm sitting right next to him. Very disappointed in this one :(

  • I'm not a privacy nut, but yikes...

  • geezzz i wont use this, i cant lie anymore to my mom if i use this since i home late every friday night :)

  • @therocket88 'I was studying' [extracts blonde hair from shirt and hides it in pocket] 'honest'

  • @karrotop studying :)

  • @therocket88 you can still lie just select a postioion on map and let that be your location :)

  • What do you guys think of Google running this service? ITs useful but would you be happy with such alarge company collecting not only email, voice and IM data on you but also location? I'd be happier if some smaller company did this and it wasnt linked to my gmail etc.

  • @chilled99 Yes, let a small company do it that way anyone can steal the information from their "small" security. Drrrrr.

  • Rest assured, authorities can pinpoint the location of your cell phone regardless of whether you use Latitude. You're an idiot if you think they need some goofy little application like this to find you. If you dont want to be tracked digitally, throw your computer, cellphone, gps, cablebox and XM radio (am I missing anything?) in the trash. Just be sure to put Latitude on hide when ur going someplace u dont want friends to know about.

  • @bigyankee86 Don't forget about the chips they put in our heads! With those They can read our minds and control us too!!

  • Damn! people, all this arguing for nothing, can you see that anything can be abused no matter how great it is. It all depends solely on the individual to decide if its going to be helpful or harmful (YOU). Be worry when you don't have any choices ,now, that is scary. In the end, yes, people are going to be spying and doing all kinds of stupid stuff like everything in the world, but for the vast majority is going to be a harmless tool. Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.

  • Will it work in South Africa

  • Creepy.

  • i just lost my phone and i thought this would have helped but it didnt =(

  • ahora no podrás mentir donde andas (:

  • This is very good information.

  • if only i didn't have to update my iPhone manually. Blackberry and other manufactures don't, so why the hell not iphone?!

  • @peanuts2105 you dont have to manually on iphone, first or second gen, nor the new 4g one when it comes out, but you have to give the app permission to find/use your location

  • No More CHEATERS!!!!

  • Why wouldn't you guys use this. The capability is already on your phone especially if you have google maps like most do... So whether you use latitude or not the cops and google can still track you so you might as well just download latitude so you can do it also...

  • @TheThirdBen

As Ben said, I you don't want to be tracked throw all your electronics away.

  • fall for it you damn fools, first they show you the fun stuff, oh wow i can see where my family and friends are. yay! what they dont tell you is the cops use it too! to find you!

  • @Reaperlaw889 well then i guess if your a fugitive you prolly wouldn't want to sign up for it..lol

  • @Reaperlaw889 cops can use it already, without the app. :)

  • heyreally lonely anyone up for cam chat or phone

  • As much as I'd like to stay connected, I would never want anyone to know where I am automatically. Even if it were my spouse, I need that privacy.

  • @TejasM14 You misspelled "especially".

  • تفو على كس امك

  • Is it possible to see your friends phone location without they have accepted me as friend? Please reply.

  • NO !!!!!

  • stalker

  • @saren1994 No, you stalker

  • lol this is like : THROW A BOMB HERE! :P

  • Great, give the biggest data mining company in the world more information about you.

  • Well they already know where you are... so it doesnt really matter anymore :P

  • @svt11111 You act like you're so special. All you do is sit on your couch and pick your nose. You have nothing to worry about.

  • I am special, I don't want Google to know where I'm at when I'm picking my nose.

  • @mexdodge Yeah knowing you are away from your house isn't in anyway useful to people. And knowing how often you work out isn't in anyway useful to health insurance. And knowing how often you are at bars isn't in anyway useful to your boss. And your wife would never want to know that you avoid being with her. You must think that you are in any way special to these people and companies. Boy are you arrogant.

  • @fergy1982 uh, PRIVACY SETTINGS. Use them.

  • @mexdodge uh privacy settings? use one on your mouth. You are not helpful in the least. And from what I've seen you don't REALLY need to entertain us with your idiocy or ignorance. Thanks bud.

  • @fergy1982

Are your proposing that all these parties would have access to your personal location information without your consent? This seems to contradict the TOS for Latitude. Maybe you should provide some evidence for sarcastic suggestions before accusing someone else of being arrogant?

  • @mexdodge you're a troll so take it somewhere else. If the conversation doesn't pertain or involve you gtfo

  • @svt11111 true, but does it really matter???

  • @svt11111 trust me...they don't give a crap about you....you aren't that important.

  • @svt11111 true. but the fact that you (and I) made a comment on youtube (which as you know is own by them) is also giving them information about yourself. what can you do?

  • Hook it up with your car somehow... then if it's ever stolen you can track it.

  • @donnypauling right, I guess one should not be stealing cars if he is so dumb that he actually does leave the mobile phone lying open in the car, he has just stolen :)
