@HamsaYogi I have been Sun gazing for 20 years! I have no health problems! I also eliminated gluten and dairy and sugar! Science cant measure spiritual healing! The Sun can Heal your body and energy levels, The human body is made up of light, energy and Water! Peace!
@5tonyvvvv 20 years is a long time. Do you do it daily? I was beginning to wonder if perhaps there is long-term damage associated with sungazing, but I've never experienced short-term indications of a long-term condition, so it seems relatively okay to do. Many eye doctors advise not looking at the Sun at all, and yet they're supposed to be fully educated on the matter, but clearly there's a blindspot in their knowledge?
@HamsaYogi haha, that may seem counter intuitive to an optometrist, but I'm realizing more and more that the various sciences are not consummate in their ways of knowing, and spiritual intuition in many ways can provide the proper insight into the same phenomena that science seeks to explain. Thank you so much for sharing with me.
@HamsaYogi Indeed, I couldn't have put it better myself. Interesting times full of possibility, hopefully our fullest spiritual potential peaks more than the opposite pull of our material nature and its various consequences.
What a lovely prayer!!! I also love meditations with movement too!!! I will watch it again and again till l learn it very well and be able to apply it in my everyday life!
@HamsaYogi I stare into the sun all the times and I have perfect eyesight, I believe you must be totally relaxed before doing it though, if not you will feel unconfortable looking at it and it will make you drop tears which means you myst first rise your vibrations and absorb most energy through the third eye. Thank you for the video PandL

@HamsaYogi Just out of curiosity, do you think there's any spiritual and/or physical benefit from sungazing at safe hours of the day e.g. within an hour of sunrise and sunset? I've been doing it now off and on for several years, and I also have been doing Kundalini-Kriya Yoga off and on as well, but sungazing seems to be a powerful way for spiritual evolution. What do you think Yogiraj would advise about sungazing?
@AzathothianBrew Well what you're describing is a variation of something that Yogananda taught. I myself used to practice this at sunrise and sunset for 15 minutes when I worked at SRF India Center back in the late 60's.
@HamsaYogi Very interesting! I never knew that Yogananda taught something like that. I consider him and Yogiraj to be tremendous sources of spiritual inspiration and guidance. And what a cool experience to have worked at SRF in India back in the late 60's when spiritual exploration was at its peak, I'm sure you have many enjoyable memories from that time. Thank you for sharing!
@AzathothianBrew SRF India Center is in Hollywood CA where I worked in the garden and restaurant that used to be there until 1971. So many saintly souls blessed that placed, it was truly inspiring and fills me with grace whenever I think of those halcyon days in my youth. SRF in India is YSS or Yogoda Satsangha Society.
@HamsaYogi That's so cool! I wish I grew up in the 1960's/1970's, part of me feels like I was born too late, because I feel a deep resonance with what the counterculture was striving for in terms of spiritual/mystical realization, e.g. cosmic consciousness, unity, peace, love, etc. Namaste
@AzathothianBrew Well those times were culturally dramatic but have been somewhat over romanticized as well, in an historical sense. These days are indeed pivotal and seem more resonant with transformation on a global scale. Its amazing how people's perspectives are changing at an almost exponential rate. It gives me new hope to think that our minds and hearts are ascending en masse to a higher vibrational frequency into spiritual awareness. So you haven't really missed out, the cycle's returned
Dear Hamsayogi, I want to practice regularly, but the direct Sunlight doesnt reach our house, until 10 AM in the morning. Can I practice it under the open sky in the morning, even if I am not in the sunlight and can not see the Sun directly? Thanks.
Thanks for Sharing! I can relate to what you say! Here in Bicol Philippines this procedure is used and practiced in secret by some of my colleagues specially my teachers in mongoose martial art. We considered this practice as one of the spiritual side of our Mongoose Martial Art. My teachers in this art are dangerous for not only they can use this in healing but also in destroying and killing. however, humbleness Christ is always their virtue and they are helpful in many ways .
Namaskar, I want to start practicing this technique. I live in a northern U.S. climate where clear sunny days are not the norm. Moreover, due to health, I can't practice outside in very humid weather (which is what we have right now). Is it ok to practice this inside when weather, health, etc. prevent one from practicing outdoors? Thanks.
@HamsaYogi I was initiated by a branch of the London school of economic science. Which was started by Leon McLaren after he met his holiness the shankricharia (sp?)
if you live in a sunny country, the constant recitation of the 12 names of the sun is a very powerful sadhana, suryanamaskar mantras are very healing mantras
