@darksorceressknight7 Wonder no longer, as episode 3 of this blog is my review of 'Turtles Forever' and if you want to see, episode 40 is the making of the VH1 show! Feel free to explore around here on youtube or check out our website for more reviews and such for TMNT goodies.
I am a fan of Michele's since i saw her on Fanatic. She seems so fun and down to earth really someone i would hang out with. What she does for the Turtle fans is amazing.Forget Venus Michele is the fifth lady Turtle!!!!!
@fsfgpowerrangers Nothing I hate, but things I didn't like to much were the relaunch of the Archie TMNT Comics, a three parter & when they just had this GREAT run to all of a sudden pull a relaunch with new story & artist.. I just couldn't get into it. I will do a review sometime. Another thing was the Power Ranger cross over, I think if the two show cast/crews worked together it could of been done better. Though the PR crew took it into their own hands getting the TMNT out of character.
hey michele did you ever go into a faze were you dint like ninja turtles i did that all the time like he man or thunder cats and then i saw ninja turtles and well i still like it but still there was a time.PLEASE RESPOND.
@shellshock638 The answer is no, I never fell out of TMNT. I started to because of a depression in late 1993, though I was still watching the show, my room was still covered in TMNT and I still collected Turtles. In 1994 a meet up with Kevin Eastman brought me out of that depression. Since then I've been behind TMNT all the way, which is why in 2000 I did the "Save Our Turtles" Booth at Motor City Comic Con. Cowabunga Corner episode 25.
When I first watched TMNT I thought I was going to like Leo too! (blue was/is my favorite color) But I found a real kinship with Raphael. My older sister is Leo to a t. Even at a young age I just had this passion/anger and I just felt really alone and different; because no one else had that problem. But then I "met" Raph. Somebody like me. He was angry and rough, but a good soul. He made me feel like it was ok to be me.
@shellshock638 That's because I feel if you're going to say a swear word make it mean something so people realize that's when you're serious. Heh Otherwise people just take it as part of your normal talk, and don't realize when you mean it.
@Andres256 It's very easy to do a blog, video tape yourself.. hook it up to the computer you can do some edits in a program like Windows Movie Maker or any better one you might be able to find, and uploading to youtube is very simple. Just click the upload button and follow their directions. I do recommend it, blogs are a lot of fun and people do enjoy hearing others insights. :)
@groovythedog Yes, he can be seen in "Cowabunga Corner" 40 near the beginning as I do a show of some of my collectibles that were on display when VH1 came to my house. Still need to get one in package, though saving my money for other things right now.
I'm 15 years old. But my parents raised me in the 80's if that makes sense. I grew up watching re-runs of TMNT, GI Joe, Thunder Cats, etc. that my brother taped off TV. I've always been a fan of the Turtles and all ways will be. So I feel like I'm apart of a generation when I'm supposed to be apart of another. I wish I grew up in the 80's but I hope die hard Turtle fans like yourself can except me even if I was born in the 90's.
@JerseyChileno Every fan is a fan and is always welcomed in the fandom no matter the age or when they became a fan. We don't count against anyone, since fandom is about sharing what we enjoy with everyone. Truthfully one of the reasons I work so hard to keep the TMNT alive is so that younger generations can share the joy that we got from the TMNT back when I was a kid. So of course we can except you. Hope you enjoy the blogs here! :)
i tink i now whats wrong whit you i think you have some thing call (good taste ) love you're collection im from 1990 i group whit the turtles and thats wat got me in to collecting action-figures and n 2 custom,s i customaiz action-figures you tink you can add me in Facebook please answer please
@babasolio Thanks, it'll be cool to see your collection. I do approve all friend requests on facebook, though I highly recommend to like the "Cowabunga Corner" facebook fan page. I spend more time there.
As much I loved the TMNT fan tribute vids, I like when fans talked about their feelings what's going on with the current TMNT events and other related TMNT stuff. You're lucky you still have your TMNT things cuz when I moved to my current home the movers lost most of my TMNT collection. I still have few things from back in the day tho. Right now I just collect the comics and the video games btw Leonardo was the first ever TMNT action figure I brought I liked blue and he had on blue.
@JConner26 With Cowabunga Corner I try to give a little bit of everything when it comes to TMNT. And we even have the website where we go over some stuff, on the website there's two write ups from last week with the current TMNT stuff. I'm really sorry to hear about your collection getting lost by movers, someone else I know is going through that right now. I have moved once since I became a TMNT fan, but never hired movers so my collection was moved safely by my family and I.
@TurtleGirlIvey I wished I can go back in time and warned myself back then. If YouTube allowed longer comments the stories I would tell about each thing I had. But your vids and the stuff in the background bring back so many kick ass memories. While I don't collect the toys anymore I make sure to at least get a DVD or a comic. I have a Playstation Network account and I rarely buy games unless they're dirt cheap or free but once Turtles in Time remake came out for the PS3 I brought it quick.
@JConner26 heh yeah Youtube comment areas are too short, I do recommend video replies for anyone who wants to share their stories ;) It's not easy collecting stuff, so I can understand holding back from all the toys and such. It's cool that you got Turtles in Time for PS3, that's good stuff.
@TurtleGirlIvey It's not Turtles in Time that was on the SNES but anytime you can get all four turtles on the screen at once it trumps the short comings that remake has. I just discover your videos so I don't know if you did an video on the latest news coming from Nick regarding the Turtles.. Other than the hand and feet wrappings they look pretty sweet.
@JConner26 It's Turtles in Time Reshelled, they had it for us to play on the Turtle bus that went across country in 2009. Lots of fun. I have not done a video about the new stuff from Nick bout our website has done two write ups. Cowabunga Corner, link on my channel, we got one about the new look, then a write up about the weapon changes that was shown in the new video. Both of those stories were written last weekend.
@TurtleGirlIvey I'm going to swing by your blog..As for Mikey new weapon if you played played Ninja Gaiden Sigma II it has that weapon and it's pretty bad ass that was the third most weapon I used in that game. If not the hero in the movie "Ninja Assassin" used it a lot and it look pretty cool in action. Here's hoping Nick give out more detail around comic con, usually the really big news goes down there.
@JConner26 I just found it interesting in the video to see that Mike's weapon was really chucks with a pop out blade, unlike the kusarigama that he's holding in that drawing. Same with Donatello's bo staff having the pop out blade at the end of the bo. Though it's not new for the Turtles weapons to be toyed with here or there. So should be interesting to see where things go. Also waiting to see what comes from San D Con. Wish I could go this year.
@TurtleGirlIvey I didn't know that about Mike's chucks, from the pics and that quick preview vid it look like the kusari gama I know that bit of information should make the traditionalist happy. As for Comic Con I hope to hear more about the movie but since that's getting pushed back I'm only expecting to hear news on the show. I think it's interesting a production studio that deals with remakes of horror flicks are doing something like this. I did like TCM and the Friday 13th remake.
@JConner26 Yes it's a hard thing to notice with the chucks, though on my website I do have a picture taken from that very video of the chucks as normal chucks right before the blades come out. That was something I discovered and was really happy about. I don't hold my breath for any of the news as I just ride with it as they release the stuff. I do think both San D and NYC Comic Con are going to be big news breakers for the new series at least... but the movie news may be next year.
@TurtleGirlIvey I just hope the tone of the new series at least matches that of the Archie comics Turtle universe where you had elements of the 1987 series but it still managed to be serious. I think Nick wants to move attract more than SpongeBob fans and Tween girls and start going after dudes that make up Cartoon Network/Adult Swim and Disney XD's Marvel show audience. Plus Adventure Time and Regular Show are almost Adult Swim shows.
I know who you are because we share the same name. I googled myself, and found you a few years ago. I watched something (VH1 I think) and it did make you look like a crazy person.
I'm glad I decided to watch this, it makes you seem more normal now lol. Anywhosits, hope you have a great day
@melizivey Hiya! Cool to meet another Michele ;) Yeah VH1 did do me in with their video. I was really hoping it would tell my real story, three days of filming to do that short scene. Glad you found this channel and got to see me for who I really am.
I have to tell you, I am not personally a huge turtles fan. But I married one that is just as much a fan as you are. So much so that we had a ninja turtles wedding! He has a collection of some pretty neat things, and until I saw some media regarding you and your turtles collection, I thought my husband was the only one. Now I know he is not the only one that is not completely out of his mind obsessed with green teenage turtles. Thankyou for sharing a bit of your life with us!
@superjushin Thanks for sharing with us here. There is a lot of fans out there, not all of us are very vocal about our fandoms but there is a few others who let themselves be known. I find it really cool that you let him have a Ninja Turtle wedding. Mind if I asked what TMNT stuff you did for the wedding? Just really curious. Thanks for writing!
i saw coming out of the shell on vhs at a thrift store for 50 cents but damn if i didn't pick it up and wheni went back to finally get it well it was gone a women got it
@brollicon yeah, thrift stores really have a lot of cool stuff out there... and usually for a good price. There's always a chance to find that VHS again. I really wish Viacom would do a DVD release of the Tour.
And oh you seen that new Ninja Turtles animated movie, where these universes meet? You have the old cartoon meeting the new cartoon? What is your opinion on that?
I think they should do another REAL physically movie... NOT just a cartoon but a live action movie.
I LOVE Ninja Turtles the Next Mutation... I likes the idea of a GIRL turtle... but the thing is I didn't like how they made Venus Kinda lame... well of course she was from China or wherever.... but it doesn't mean that shes clueless on what the now worlds doin....
Hi there.Great blog, appreciated all the info and experiences u share with us.It's truly inspiring.Keep up the good work.Great job on tmnt-l.com and deviantart.Would love to help out and contribute to your site in the form of art and design anytime.Good to know that there's some sorta ambassador of the turtles like a real life april such as yourself.Ending this with the quote 'WE STRIKE HARD AND FADE AWAY...INTO THE NIGHT.'
That's a very interesting story! We have a little bit in common! First off...I have that shirt! :P Anyway, I never played with a toy or watched an episode until I saw the 2007 film by myself in the theater out of instinct, and of course it was more the personality portrayed from the characters that really got to me. I may post a video response to give the full story, but it's still debatable. By the way, I'm happy you really don't eat pizza everyday. Did you ever consider suing VH1 for libel?
Honestly, you and me share something in common with the fandom thing. First off...I have that shirt! Not as cool as others, but works. Secondly, I became a fan from just one movie. I never played with a toy, or watched an episode, but just heard of them in school. I go and see the 2007 movie by myself out of instinct. Completely blew me away. It was the personalities portrayed that really stood out. Totally changed my life. I may not do a video blog, but I can write you a paper! Ha ha
@gex2464 I do plan to do some on my collection stuff, though I didn't want to start off with the collection, I got so much other stuff to share. Just keep watching and you'll see some collection topics come up. :)
How did I came into TMNT... its hard to say because it was 1992/3 when they popt up on austrian TV (we got the Hero Turtles Version) and I was 5 years old around that time. All I can remember was that I had almost all Toys of the Turtles and most of the Merchandise released along with them.
My Mom told me a story a few months back that I used to play in the Garden - jumping around with a Stick (Don was my Fav.) and always asking my Parents if a Shell has already grown on my back ^_^
I'm not going to focus only on the collection, in fact I'm avoiding that at first. I'll be starting off more with some reviews and such.
I do have people asking me to show the collection on here. I just think that there's more to the fandom than collecting and I want to show that there will be more than that here.
Though every blog will have a different set up to match the topic at hand, for those who want to see the collection.
hmm you should check out nightram. those vlogs are pretty awesome. hes like the nintendo version of you and the coolest thing are the rare, unusual items that a major brand like nintendo/tmnt can offer. Ive seen a tmnt shower curtain for gods sake.
LOL That's cool. I did watch one of his blogs to see what you were talking about. :) Where he was showing some video games.
Though it's fun, I do like the idea of showing some of the other stuff I have. Mainly the home video of things the Words & Pictures Museum, Turtle Parties, and conventions I've been to.
I've got over 70 topics written out that I'd like to bring up on here, a few of them is about collection pieces. So I will have some on here. I do put stuff on collector quest website.
Neat! I have a lot of shirts, I'm hoping to do a different shirt for each blog. :) Just gotta remember which ones I use as I go down the line ;) Hope to see a video blog from you soon! :)
Heh yeah letting my hair grow out right now. See how this works for me ;) Depending on surgery stuff on when I next take a trip right now kind of staying home working things out.
Do a video on how you became a fan and send it as a video response, that's one way to take part in this. I will be doing more with other fans as the time goes as well, though the first few blogs jump around touching different subjects.
I think it's very interesting that your gonna be posting these blogs.
For me it all started with my older brother playing with the toys as well. Then we'd watch the cartoon, and play the NES games.
The first TMNT movie is one of my all time favorite movies of all time. I was surprised that the movie took a more dark approach with the series, and theis was before I knew they were based on the comic books.
When the second movie came out, I thought it was better then the first one since it was more like the cartoon series. But now watching as an adult, It's not as great as I thought it was, but still an enjoyable film.
After the third movie was released, I lost interest in the turtles for a while after I was introduced to the Sonic The Hedgehog games on the SEGA Genesis. But years later, my turtle fandom in my brain just popped back in.
It wasn't later until the internet, that I found out that the turtles started out as an underground comicbook that was more darker then the cartoon show. I bought my first TMNT comic (Twilight of the Ring) and I loved it so much that I went out an got the rest of the comics from Ebay.
When the new 4Kidz TMNT series came out, I loved it. But I stopped watching it before TMNT: BTTS was released.
TMNT4 is my second favorite film of all the turtle movies. That one felt very true to the comics.
I still have my comic collection. I have a few turtle action figures, and I'm a red belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Leonardo is favorite turtle because he's strong, he gets the job done no matter what gets in his way, and he will do whatever takes to protect his family. That kind of personality I look up to in my like life, although i think there's a little of all of the turtles in my personality. XD
That's one of the great things about the Turtles, is that their personalities are so out there, that a lot of us can relate to each one of the Turtles. ([:{-D
I agree with "HydeistOGackist"............. So, keep the video blogs coming! lol.... I can already tell these blogs are gonna be awesome!
and If someone was to ask me "Do you eat pizza everyday?" I would say "I wish!" Pizza is the perfect food if the ingredients are natural! It has pretty much all of the food pyrimid. Grains, Dairy, Meats, Vegetables and so on, but I've been eating pizza long before I knew about the TMNT so don't think I eat it because they do lol.
@HyvvirNinja lol, yeah I do love pizza. And have pointed out the different food groups to a lot of people. Hehe Though I also love a lot of other foods. I know me, I get tired of food if I have to much of it, it's the reason some of my old favorites just don't seem as good to me as they did when I was younger.
Very awesome! I like this ;D You can really catch attention with your blog and tell the inside story about you and not what people have heard or seen. This is the REAL you not lies.
@HydeistOGacktist Thanks! I've got a lot to share, I'm hoping I can keep it interesting. ([;{-) Going to try and do one blog update a week. Hopefully this works out.
Very nice intro! And the editing effects made it all the better. It was great adding in pictures of the cartoon dvd covers and my favorite add in was the clip from the tmnt movie.

I'm glad I decided to watch this, it makes you seem more normal now lol. Anywhosits, hope you have a great day
melizivey 1 year ago
@melizivey Hiya! Cool to meet another Michele ;) Yeah VH1 did do me in with their video. I was really hoping it would tell my real story, three days of filming to do that short scene. Glad you found this channel and got to see me for who I really am.
Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Thankyou for sharing a bit of your life with us!
superjushin 1 year ago
@superjushin Thanks for sharing with us here. There is a lot of fans out there, not all of us are very vocal about our fandoms but there is a few others who let themselves be known. I find it really cool that you let him have a Ninja Turtle wedding. Mind if I asked what TMNT stuff you did for the wedding? Just really curious. Thanks for writing!

brollicon 1 year ago
@brollicon yeah, thrift stores really have a lot of cool stuff out there... and usually for a good price. There's always a chance to find that VHS again. I really wish Viacom would do a DVD release of the Tour.

whoops I mean liked.)
And oh you seen that new Ninja Turtles animated movie, where these universes meet? You have the old cartoon meeting the new cartoon? What is your opinion on that?
I think they should do another REAL physically movie... NOT just a cartoon but a live action movie.
tamkins777 1 year ago
@tamkins777 I did a review of the animated movie that you speak of in "Cowabunga Corner" #3. It's called "Turtles Forever" check out my review there.
There is going to be another live action movie, not sure how they're handling it. But that's in the works now.

CowabungaKiefer 1 year ago
@CowabungaKiefer Didn't mean to post twice, I didn't look at the bottom to see if it got posted. Sorry!
CowabungaKiefer 1 year ago
Honestly, you and me share something in common with the fandom thing. First off...I have that shirt! Not as cool as others, but works. Secondly, I became a fan from just one movie. I never played with a toy, or watched an episode, but just heard of them in school. I go and see the 2007 movie by myself out of instinct. Completely blew me away. It was the personalities portrayed that really stood out. Totally changed my life. I may not do a video blog, but I can write you a paper! Ha ha

gex2464 1 year ago
@gex2464 I do plan to do some on my collection stuff, though I didn't want to start off with the collection, I got so much other stuff to share. Just keep watching and you'll see some collection topics come up. :)
TurtleGirlIvey 1 year ago
How did I came into TMNT... its hard to say because it was 1992/3 when they popt up on austrian TV (we got the Hero Turtles Version) and I was 5 years old around that time. All I can remember was that I had almost all Toys of the Turtles and most of the Merchandise released along with them.
My Mom told me a story a few months back that I used to play in the Garden - jumping around with a Stick (Don was my Fav.) and always asking my Parents if a Shell has already grown on my back ^_^

will this be like nightrams videos where you show us rare items or your favorite items, etc?
sirdaveysockrocker 2 years ago 13
I'm not going to focus only on the collection, in fact I'm avoiding that at first. I'll be starting off more with some reviews and such.
I do have people asking me to show the collection on here. I just think that there's more to the fandom than collecting and I want to show that there will be more than that here.
Though every blog will have a different set up to match the topic at hand, for those who want to see the collection.
TurtleGirlIvey 2 years ago
hmm you should check out nightram. those vlogs are pretty awesome. hes like the nintendo version of you and the coolest thing are the rare, unusual items that a major brand like nintendo/tmnt can offer. Ive seen a tmnt shower curtain for gods sake.
sirdaveysockrocker 2 years ago 10
LOL That's cool. I did watch one of his blogs to see what you were talking about. :) Where he was showing some video games.
Though it's fun, I do like the idea of showing some of the other stuff I have. Mainly the home video of things the Words & Pictures Museum, Turtle Parties, and conventions I've been to.
I've got over 70 topics written out that I'd like to bring up on here, a few of them is about collection pieces. So I will have some on here. I do put stuff on collector quest website.

I am from latin america and i knew the turtles thanks to the old toon. Years alter and by accident, i discovered the oriignal comics books.
Mirage is my favorite version now, although i like to watch the other versions.
I´ll keep an eye on your videos!

Cool, thanks for sharing!
it's really awesome how many fans learned of the Turtles through the original cartoon series. It was a big land mark for most of us 90 fans. :)

Do a video on how you became a fan and send it as a video response, that's one way to take part in this. I will be doing more with other fans as the time goes as well, though the first few blogs jump around touching different subjects.
TurtleGirlIvey 2 years ago
I think it's very interesting that your gonna be posting these blogs.
For me it all started with my older brother playing with the toys as well. Then we'd watch the cartoon, and play the NES games.
The first TMNT movie is one of my all time favorite movies of all time. I was surprised that the movie took a more dark approach with the series, and theis was before I knew they were based on the comic books.
Sykorax 2 years ago 16
When the second movie came out, I thought it was better then the first one since it was more like the cartoon series. But now watching as an adult, It's not as great as I thought it was, but still an enjoyable film.
After the third movie was released, I lost interest in the turtles for a while after I was introduced to the Sonic The Hedgehog games on the SEGA Genesis. But years later, my turtle fandom in my brain just popped back in.
Sykorax 2 years ago 16
It wasn't later until the internet, that I found out that the turtles started out as an underground comicbook that was more darker then the cartoon show. I bought my first TMNT comic (Twilight of the Ring) and I loved it so much that I went out an got the rest of the comics from Ebay.
When the new 4Kidz TMNT series came out, I loved it. But I stopped watching it before TMNT: BTTS was released.
TMNT4 is my second favorite film of all the turtle movies. That one felt very true to the comics.
Sykorax 2 years ago 16
Wow thanks so much for sharing your story!
Twilight of the Ring is a wonderful comic! I'll be doing comic reviews in these blogs as well. ([:{-)
TurtleGirlIvey 2 years ago
I still have my comic collection. I have a few turtle action figures, and I'm a red belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Leonardo is favorite turtle because he's strong, he gets the job done no matter what gets in his way, and he will do whatever takes to protect his family. That kind of personality I look up to in my like life, although i think there's a little of all of the turtles in my personality. XD
Well, that's all I gotta say.
Thanks for reading. TURTLE POWER!
Sykorax 2 years ago 17
Gotta say again, Thanks for sharing! :)

HyvvirNinja 2 years ago 18
@HyvvirNinja lol, yeah I do love pizza. And have pointed out the different food groups to a lot of people. Hehe Though I also love a lot of other foods. I know me, I get tired of food if I have to much of it, it's the reason some of my old favorites just don't seem as good to me as they did when I was younger.
TurtleGirlIvey 2 years ago
Very awesome! I like this ;D You can really catch attention with your blog and tell the inside story about you and not what people have heard or seen. This is the REAL you not lies.
I hope you catch my drift ^^; Best of luck!

Can't wait to see more!
