  • this is a cluster fuck of shit

  • this is sad..

  • Wait, WHAT?

  • Is that elevator GLaDOS?

  • Okay effort... but really the original audio would be best.

  • Many answers to the meaning of life are to be found in the 42 chapters of ' The reason driven life' by Master of the Bibleverse Robert M Price. This package can uninstall viral ciphertext by giving questions that show what ideas are not the answers. • im sorry but please stop

i love the hitchershikers guide to the galaxy but this is 100% $£!T!!!!

  • @xXRedVectorXx I agree this ruins the very faboric of THHGTTG. This is terrible. And for second life that Marvin is very inaccurate.

  • WTF?

  • i find this hard to masturbate to

  • sorry but that was a fail. you didn't put any effort into it, the game choice was poor, the mics sounded shit, need i go on?

  • Was the Governator just narrating this?

  • what is the intro song

  • @77PROMETHUS77 its journey of the sorcerer by the eagles

  • I thought this was very well done. Nice and humorous capturing the style one would associate with a situation Marvin would find himself in.

  • ROFL I loved this scene from Restaurant at the End of the Universe! Too bad y'all didn't do Beeblebrox instead of Marvin LOL Good job!

  • Thumbs up if you think Marvin got depressed because he watched THIS hunk of shit.

  • What's up with the super Acents

  • GAH! i agree with Dubsackjack

  • you would be doing the world a favor if...

    you deleted this stupid shit.

  • Chinese can't make anything right.

  • this is done in second life. Absolutely no effort

  • fucking asians.

  • restrunt at the end of the universe!!!

  • love the asian accents! LOL

  • good animation but terrible voices

  • That was awful.

  • This was simply dreadful.

  • Don't make people facepalm. Please.

  • Won't play on iPhone you tube

  • How did they get a marvin suit in second life??

  • @heckler341 made it?

  • not funny !

  • wrong kids...wrong.

  • I'm sorry, but the voices are too...Young. And with too heavy of an accent.

  • @Raptoridaner

I know, nothing compared to Alan Rickman.

    LOL

  • you fucked up marvin you misspelled sirius and the voices are entirely incorrect for the situation

  • i liked the scene when it was in the book. this is just stupid.

  • /yawn

  • this is wack as fuck.

  • Good skit. In the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, everything is robotic. We just need our proper personality to use them.

  • Hey! Where

s the Tanks that come right after the end? The scene where Marvin is left to stop the tank would have spiced things up a bit.

  • BEEP THIS VIDEO OUT OF MY EYES!!! IT IS A HORRID ABOMINATION OF THE HITCH HIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

  • Okay... o_O

YOU WILL DIE FOR MAKING FUN OF MARVIN!!!!!

  • You have just ruined one of the best scenes from the series. Well done. I hope you're happy.

Go Stick You're Head In A Pig.

  • Outstanding effort. Thanks for help in keeping Douglas Adams' work alive!

Adams would have loved Second Life.

  • You should have used the proper audio....

Also, this scene doesnt make any sense out of context. Its just some guy and his robot, in an elevator....thats panicy about the future, for some valid reason.

You should have started the scene from the conversation with the receptionist. It might have made slightly more sense.

  • ........gay......

  • he is WAAAY shorter

  • You really should have stuck with the original audio.

  • I'm sorry.. but is this supposed to be funny?

  • @FunkyRaspberry dont be stuppid there is no way for this to look it is suposed to be funny

  • @obenrob Can't even remember what this video is about. Too long ago

  • spread the awesome in any language.

  • Agreed.

As an English speaker who listened to much of it when it was first broadcast by the BBC, this has not much watching/listening-value for me.

But the poster has taken great care to duplicate the original words, and deserves applause for doing so.

    Spread the awesome.

  • Damn I love the intro of the radio show.

  • he's so funny.

  • that cute little robot.

  • this was nice

  • ok, i just looked it up and here are the components for mineral-based brake fluid. Alkyl ester Aliphatic amine Diethylene glycol Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether Diethylene glycol monomethyl ether Dimethyl dipropylene glycol Polyethylene glycol monobutyl ether Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether Polyethylene oxide Triethylene glycol monobutyl ether Triethylene glycol monoethyl ether Triethylene glycol monomethyl ether im no chemist, so does anyone one know which of those would make it burn?
  • All molecules ending (or containing) with -ol are able to burn, as they are alcoholes.

  • this is the most random question ever, but id guess the oxide would also burn. as you need oxygen, but also -ols as they have low flame points.

  • I'm surprised I'm getting responses... I was in a weird mood when I posted that.

  • Comment removed

  • Diethylene glycol.

  • I am a chemist.

    They will all burn.

And probably all burn about the same, but not ignite very easily, because they will all have high boiling points.

Petrol and Diesel will both burn, but petrol is "highly flammable" because it has a lower boiling point.

  • Don't you mean: "Petrol has a lower combustion point?"

  • If you like.

You could also say "ignition point .

Some might choose to say "flash point".

Most organic compounds are combustible, but in any one group of similar compounds the ease with which you can ignite them is closely linked to volatility (boiling point).

...And brake fluid is most definitely designed to be non-volatile!

If it was volatile then it would present an extra fire hazard, and small leaks in the system could lead to rapid break failure.

  • So phrases like "Ignition point" "flash point" and "boiling point" are interchangeable because they all describe a temperature in which the substance undergoes a change in state?

  • No.

But for most YouTube readers, "Yes" will do.

This is probably not the appropriate forum for a more detailed discussion.

  • Sorry, I don't have much of a scientific background. I went through public school.

When you say: "No, but for most YouTuber's, yes. " What do you mean?

    Am I only half-right?

  • They all refer to a temperature, but only the boiling point refers to a change in state. The other two are the initiation of a chemical reaction (combustion).

My original comment was to indicate (without too much detail) that they usually trend the same way (low boiling point will lead you to expect a low flash point, and vice-versa).

"Public school educated" carries completely opposite meanings in the US and UK. ! I went to state-schools.

  • Sorry about bugging you so much, I meant Public school in Southern California (I'm within spitting distance of LA, which means I went to a pretty cruddy school.)

    But anyway...

Thank you for explaining the difference to me. I think I understand it now. I was never given a sold explanation as to what those terms meant

  • That's OK, ObeyBunny.

I've never been to LA or any of it's schools, but I don't think it matters that much.

My schools were not exceptional, and neither am I, or my background (in the "western" world)

I think it helps from the start to have parents that take education seriously.

Then, if you have the curiosity to ask the questions then you have enough to educate yourself scientifically.

And you will also find that teachers appear.

  • wtf?

  • Shittest video EVER!

  • I like this very much.

You must like the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, I like the lift.

  • This is awesome, I don't care about the program used, I just love that this is one of my favorite parrts. I wanna say it's from so long and thanks for all the fish. I may be wrong, it's been a while since I've read the books.

  • I think its from R.A.T.E.O.T.U., just before the frogstar police come to capture zaphod.

  • Right on!

  • DAMN second life is SO MUCH SHIT I wish everyone in there would just die so they would get on with better stuff in their lives. Fucking mid 1970's computer graphics they wouldn't even put up with this in the KONGO.

  • hmmmm.... 50 50

  • Shitty voices.

  • take away the vioces and just have text, the voices just don't sound good and marvin is way fatter.

  • Go Douglas....

    You gave me reality.

  • way too awesome. thats just unfair to all the lame ppl out there.

  • THIS SUCKS

  • you're one to talk.

    you haven't created shit

  • I obviously created a friendship with you

  • wat

  • It's an interesting coincidence that a high % of users that use to make this kind of comments: "This suck, this is shit, this is lame this is blahblahbla" etcetera and like to criticize just for ctiticize use to have something in common: when you go to the user page you see the impressive ammount of videos of: None at All. how interesting... and honestly, to crticize it's easy but having something done for you kinnda helps the credibility...

  • Voices wrong. Shame.

  • AHA! I love this part in the books and the radio!

  • interesting

  • animations are good, but the speakers and the sound are just bad.

  • shit.... that was awful..... i love decles vadan ! I DO!!!

  • Why didn't you just use the audio from the radio series? You kind of messed this up.

  • cause the books are better

  • Meaning that you have listened to the radio series, yes?

  • i read this part in the book

  • cool

  • animation was good, but the voices were wrong

  • Nicely done, except the sound.

  • oh my god on the elevator ride u can see like an island or somethe on one of the doors for a split second

  • hehe took some time till i realised its made of zaphod's wiew ;p

  • omg dude where is that land cause reminds me of the ugh one apartments that are like 2,000 linden renting fee and i was there for like 12 months but then they cancelled it haha

  • How did you make this? It looks like a video game! Great job though!

  • mac fagpro xpress

  • If you go to the official website of 'Second Life' its a virtual game... I'm addicted to it, along with millions of other people XD Try it out it rules!

  • wow, this was good!!!

  • are you trying to sound like marvin?

if you are then you get a big FAIL.

  • toooooo much time on your hands?

  • use better voice

  • Verrrrrry good but the sound dould be better

  • The voices could be improved but other than that it would be pretty awesome

  • where did you get the marvin model?

  • Nice elevator video. I just put one up on my page called "What Would You Do if..- Elevator". Check it out, it's different. I have a lot of other crazy videos on my page too.

  • you got this from the radio versoin...not very good impressoins i have the whole collectoin....not very good....at all...

    sorry.

  • Yeah he did. I have the CD but I think it's a very well directed video.

  • Haha! nice i remember this Part in the Book... :D

Marvelous! (i'll maybe start playing some Second life now.. :P

  • Hey, Hatepallys, give him a break. He put in effort, and I like it. What's more, at least he did something, unlike you- you're just sitting there on your butt eating marshmallows and criticizing.

Wow- don't even know this person I'm defending. Better appreciate it. :p

  • love the accent

  • 0.0 I remember this part from the book and this was exactly how I imagined it. That elevator is retarded.

  • you suck at animating

  • Haha, I love this bit from the Secondary Phase of the radio series (and so presumably the Restaurant at the End of the Universe)

  • How was this made by?

And I am not saying it was good I just want to find out where the animation is from.

  • The animation is done by a video game called 'Second Life'. Which is really only fun if you make good friends--There really isn't any other point in playing it other than just making cash. :L

  • Ryou, I disagree. I teach Photoshop in Second Life to people from all over the world, for basically nothing. I think I might mention your comment to my next class, and tell them that what we are doing and learning is pointless.

  • Good. Look me up, I'm 'Ryou Debs'. I'm on the Teen Grid. I'd be happy to debate with you and your point. Maybe if there is a point to SL besides meeting people, it's making cash. Better?

  • Or, you could use 20,000 other different online methods instead of a poorly done "video game" or whatever you want to consider it to conduct your business with far more efficiency.

You're kidding yourself and apparently you don't even know it. Not to mention all the things you listed that look like they have been copy and pasted from somewhere to support your malformed argument.

  • An OTIS elevator talking. LOL

  • Thanks to the crew who made this; I'm gonna feed you all to the total perspective vortex : )

  • One of the best parts in the book!

  • I remember this part in the book!

  • ....This is retarded. kill yourself.

  • Love the old Marvin avatar. Did you know that they made a mock-up of him in second life before making the movie?

  • Is this from the radio show or just a script re-enactment

  • lol shouldve been in the movie!!!

  • Sadly, the actual kind of genuine excitement that non-Earth beings experience from learning about such progress on Earth comes from the realization that the even more time humans now spend looking at their digital watches and digitized selves, the even less of it will be spent looking for anybody else.

  • The updated entry now reports with genuine excitement that Earth people have quickly advanced in their technology to a point where millions of them now spend all their time making digitized mirrors of themselves to hold up to millions of other digitized mirrors made by millions of other Earth people is a pretty neat idea. (continued)

  • The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's entry on the state of technology on the planet Earth has recently been updated. The old entry, made a just a few years ago, noted that Earth technology had only progressed to the point where people still thought digital watches were a pretty neat idea. (continued)

  • hehe!! the slang,.. style seh! Keep it up fad n angela!

  • hahaha singlish
