  • Where did you buy your awsome guitar ???:)

  • Bet 'You Can't Do That!' Oops, you can! Sounds good man.

  • Very nice man. Sounded just like George Harrison!!!!! I want one too. I already have the bass 4001c64s. That is my next to buy after a REAL Hofner bass.

  • Please!, Take care your instrument! Be careful whit the sunlight. Don't exposure.

  • Where did you get that Rick? BTW, great playing and BEAUTIFUL guitar!

  • Nice guitar

  • your parents sure do love you

  • @nightcrawler511 theres a reason why it says "A+ Productions" in the end XD jk

  • @maliceheart18 Not sure what you mean there.

  • @nightcrawler511 Who ever said that it was my parents?

  • es bien feo el vide

  • I see NO advantage to getting the vintage (360/12c63) model....

    1) It's super expensive (my modern 360 12-string was $2675 if that gives you an idea)

    2) YOU DON'T GET THE SIGNATURE Rickenbacker TAILPIECE which is always gorgeous

    3) The curves around the outside of the modern model look better than the vintage edges anyway

  • @DuaLeaD i know a guy who has both, he says the toasters have a more accurate vintage sound and the signature rickenbacker tailpiece is a bitch to re-string compared to the basic trapeze-like thing you get on the c63. still doesn't fully justify the £600-£800 price difference, though. if they were around the same price i'd rather have the c63, but i'm probably gonna go for a regular 360/12 unless there's a substancial difference in build quality that i may have overlooked.

  • That guitar's a beauty, it will only get better with age. You're off to a great start.

  • @brettkramer Thank you!

  • Whats ironic is in the early 60s all us American kids thought Rickenbackers were from England, because it was almost exclusively British bands that used them.

  • Excellent! I like the color of that guitar !

  • how much did you pay for that guitar? pretty good cover!

  • @aalcantaramusic Is it worth getting a Rickenbacker 360/12C63 over a Rickenbacker 360? The 360/12C63 is almost 2 times the price of the 360/12 on the websties I've seen.

  • @Toady373 I would say it's all about personal preference. The c63 has the squared off edges and the modern on has the rounded off ones, the pickups are different and on the modern one the string slots for the extra strings go all the way through easing re-stringing. I'm also in a Beatles Tribute band so the c63 was the way to go for that

  • @aalcantaramusic Thank you. I noticed the round edges. I think I'll probably get a 330/12 because I like the edges more (It's like a C63). But I might get a good job soon so maybe the C63 won't be impossible for me anymore.

  • @Toady373 One thing I would like to add just in general is that it is always worth getting a Rick anytime! They are beautiful handcrafted instruments. I love my 4003 Jetglo!

  • @SteveShivik Have you ever played Gretsch? If so how does a Gretsch compare to a Rick?

  • @Toady373 Well guitar wise, Gretsch will give a more thick tone in some ways. Well, I guess what I meant was that the tone of Gretsch guitars are very smooth and percussive, much like Rick basses only minus the edgy growl (which i love). Rick guitars however have a very distinctive tone that is very jangly and happy. Just something about them has a very upbeat vibe to it. Maybe it's due to the fact that they are all hand made ,not that I know of the Gretsch manufacturing. send a message for more

  • @SteveShivik Most Gretsches are made in China now, which os the saddest thing I can imagine. Eddie Cochran and Chet Atkins are rolling over in their graves. Rickenbacker is the only major US guitar company now that still makes every single piece of every guitar in the United States.

  • @Salguine Man, that really sucks. I thought Gibson still made their guitar in America. Maybe I'm wrong.

  • @SteveShivik Gibson makes some stuff in the USA, but not everything.

  • @Salguine Wow, we really need to fix the musical instrument business.

  • @SteveShivik it's every business.

  • @Toady373 I do own a Gretsch Tennessee Rose and the thing is that the Gretsch necks are thicker, wider. The sound, due to the humbuckers, is also muddier. I like the sound of Gretsch guitars a lot. It's great. I do prefer the Rickenbacker variety though.

  • @aalcantaramusic Ah, ok. I'm saving up for a new guitar and either want a Gretsch or a Rick so I'm just asking around. Thanks for your input

  • @Toady373 Buy the 360/12c63 the new 360s suck. They have changed them I have a 360 from the 80s and 370 from the 90s, The new 360s headstocks have changed their not routed out they go right through and the hi gain pickups have changed the tone sucks. If you want a plain 360 buy an older one.

  • @Toady373 One big difference is the tailpiece. The standard "R" tailpiece is rather a bitch to restring on the 12-string; it's a huge pain in the ass. I don't really break strings, so I only have to deal with it when changing all the strings, but it's still a pain. The 360/12C63 has the trapeze tailpiece, and the difference is like night and day; so easy. And the pickups on the 360/12C63 are spaced farther apart than on the 360/12, which makes some slight tonal variation (but not too much).

  • do you find that it's just hard to get used to or does it hurt your left hand more even after you get used to it?

  • hy!

Is there anybody here who tried the cheap, chinese rickenbacker guitars? i want to know if theyre really sucks, coz everybody abuse them.

  • @kicsipupi if its made in China it's not a Rickenbacker, they only make them in the USA

  • Play it again, and again, you need a lot of practice

  • hey how did you get it did you parents buy it for you or did you work your but off at a job to get it

  • hier droom ik van,heb zelf 12 stringgitaar model ovation maar deze kan ik niet(wil) betalen maar alleen er naar kijken is al mooi, echte Byrds sound overgens, een rolls onder de gitaren.

  • how much did this cost mate? if you dont mind me asking. cheers!

  • where did you buy this? im looking everywhere for one. and how much was it?

  • I would LOVE to have one of these, or better yet the Model 370-12, which has 3 pickups. They have a unique look and sound. They are just awesome. Suggested retail price (from Rickenbacker web site) is over $3000US! (and they'll even include a case) But, what the hell, it's only money!

  • someone's got some money...

  • @viceisthename

yeah, i have one. and i'm sorry if what i said was rude..

  • the guitar is veeeery good, but you need to practise - a lot - more.

  • @rubensvanguarda

    Have you played one?

  • you look like you have no soul

  • impossible, he isnt ginger

  • Play a G7sus!!

  • That is one strikingly beautiful guitar. Sounds just like the record!

  • oops, yes, just saw your followup LOL

  • No, that's the 360/12C63 like the title says. The original 360 model had this body, and the C63 means it is a clone (C) of the 63 model.

  • ...You can't do Thaaat!

  • a 360/12 is my dream guitar... great clean tones and from a *very little* bi tof playing on a rickenbacker 12 string I love the overdrive tones to (i know this is weird...)

  • @sergeant137 the same here. i crave one

  • I'm getting so depressed.

  • Yes!,make another video....beautiful quality of video and beautiful guitar....

  • dude, you have to make another video with this guitar. I ordered one and its not due till march. I would be extremely grateful if you made another video with this Rick.

  • I'm going to try and make a new video this weekend

  • @aalcantaramusic That's a beautiful Ric you got there, how much did it cost, and where did you order it from? I'd prefer to have a 360/12C63 over the standard 360/12.

  • The list is around $3800 and you can get them for around $3400.

  • how much does this guitar cost you??in usdollars please

  • Awesome man! I'm working on getting a C63 to accompany my V64 :)

  • maan you play incredible if play you cant do that complete im going to be your fan !!! please play it complete and if i fell please!!!

  • there are very nice rickenbacker 12 strings on ebay. bought it 2 days ago and I'm waiting to put my hands on hit:)

  • Would love to see move beatles video's with this guitar. I order mine about 3 month's ago. Are you using a vox amp?

  • I'll be sure to post some more as they come along. Thanks for the nice compliment. I'm actually using a crate bass amp for this. It gives a nice natural sound so that what you really hear is the guitar and not the guitar with anything that the amp might add to it.

  • When did the guy in the video order his. cause i ordered mine in late march of 08. but i noticed that they are shipping them out now.

  • I ordered mine in June of 2007. You should get yours next March-July probably.

  • @aalcantaramusic where do you order them from?

  • Thank you very much!!! I've been waiting this demo. I'm waiting my "Harrison"...

  • You're welcome. Do you mean you're on the waiting list for a 360/12c63? I've been waiting for two years and it's well worth it.

  • Yes, that's what I meant.

  • when did you order yours?

  • I ordered on last monday. So I think it is a very long wait ahead...
