very heavily scooped mid's... but its really hard to get his tone with out his pickups or amp they are both calibrated to give that sound. or you can also get a high end effects pedal they usually can shape the sound to match his quite decently...

It can go before or after. When used together you'll get a different sound depending on the order. I think more people than not(including me) use the wah before distortion. I do have a lone DS1 that sits in front of my wah though for the times here and there that I want that sound. Wah first is a little less pronounced and natural, distortion first is going to be more pronounced. Almost cartoonish at times. I hope this helps a little. Your best bet is to try both and decide what suits you best.

POG pedal sucks, Super Shifter is way more accurate Octaver, For Ring Mods - Stay with the Best, Electro-Harmonix or DOD - I'm sure one of those companys make a better and cheaper Pedal...I've used over 40 different Pedals, When I started learning Guitar Effects, Digitech makes some very nice products (By using the GNX3, I started selling my Effects Collection one by one, Eliminating the usage of obsolete hardware)
