  • ^ I love how Cyrus is spelled :)

  • This is Great! I love the sound!

  • whats the name of that instrument?

  • @mocnicor That's an autoharp :)

  • @S0UL0NE Thanks!

  • REAL & PURE

  • Helt underbart! Älskar er ^^

  • is johanna really moa? o.o

  • The best part about these girls music is the simplicity. There's not too much going on. Just great guitar ( and autoharp! <3) great harmonies and great lyrics. I can really be moved by songs that don't have a bunch of other things in there to separate. I fell in love with this music.

  • whats the instrument johannas playing? is it an autoharp? i really want one!

  • @zacrich22 yes it's an autoharp! :)

  • live in the forest xD

  • the ship is sailing,

ill meet you on the other side,

    the futures unclear,

but hopefully youll be fine, ....... <33333

  • Who would've thought that woodland would make for such great acoustics!? Nice one!

  • I think I've fallen in love with Johanna just a little bit x)

  • You girls are so so so good, you just make me smile when I listen to you! Thank you for that!

  • Every forest sings a song.

  • If Johanna is MoA, man... what a talent. She should be the main voice! Kill the other one. -o-

  • very lucky forest... +_+

  • These sisters are simply wonderful musicians and singers....

    And so rare today!

    thank you!

  • Hahaha I love how very swedish this video is: the sweaters, the girls expressions, the vapor from their breaths, the setting - especially the setting, I can smell the leaves just by watching it. And I really love this song, by the way!

  • Again, simple but profound composition...the accustics are wrapped in a natural setting and reverberating power of the human voice.

The uncanny soul presence in Klara and Johanna...difficult to describe in mere words. Their expressions always seem to go straight to the heart like a divine blessing.

  • 29 people aren't coming home tonight.

  • ew da fuck.

  • the bitch with the weird guitar...damn...i'll fuck her... :)

  • @boxanova66 Fuck you :)

  • these girls are SOOO cute omg

  • Hahaha i love this but first time i heard it i thought she said "them racist children" lol i know its you raised his children btw x

  • MoA, I respect this type of music. It is very folksy and true. And I dig your loyalty and collaboration with your sister. But you must ask yourself this: would I rather perform in front of hundreds touring through rinky-dink downtrodden towns or would I like the opportunity to perform in front of tens-of-thousands in sold-out stadiums worldwide. Because if you are the MoA who wrote and performed all those amazing 2NE1 and BB covers, then you should rethink your musical career, imo.

  • @pressthehardeight Just saw them today at Flow festival in Helsinki. The festival was bigger than last year, and last year it sold 50k. I wonder is that too a "downtrodden town"?

  • @pressthehardeight Your post makes me sad... First Aid Kit has already brought forth some remarkable songs into the world... for you to be so dismissive of their work because they're not filling sold-out stadiums perhaps says more about you than it does about these incredible artists.

  • @pressthehardeight You're an idiot and you don't understand why people do things like this.

  • @pressthehardeight oh hey. I'm not here to be rude like everyone else and I'm sure it's a nice change to have someone speak nicely to you in regards to this comment, but are you offering them a chance to get out of there downtrodden towns and perform in front of tens-of-thousands in sold-out stadium worldwide?

  • svenska youtube-kändisar (Y) me like

  • ky brother twin woud say more and more

  • the best bar none

  • one of my favorit songs...

  • Helvetica!

  • Johanna seems kind of mad.. but i love her!

  • I love everything about this.

  • guys....this is not a live performance. hopefully it should be obvious enough by the fact that there are three voices: two singing the melody and then a third coming in and singing the harmony. then, the fact of the quality of the recording should then be another obvious hint this has been taken into the studio and reworked: if not recorded in the studio and then filmed outside.

  • @douglasthew That's not a live, right, but there are only 2 voices. The melody and the harmony.

  • @Kiinsuke i could be wrong, but it sounds like they doubled one of the girl's voices on the melody. especially listen from :40 from the lyric into the chorus. to me, it sounds like it's the same two voices that carry into the chorus with the added voice as the harmony. when i say three voices, i mean that they just added another vocal track on top.

  • @douglasthew I really like how they mixed it, the songs on the studio album sound similar to this.

  • @douglasthew Thats correct. Live, but another vocal track on the top. /Mats, director of this video.

  • @douglasthew yes it's been mixed and mastered, it's not raw, but I can tell you the album version of this song is totally different, slower, no autoharp, and instead has bass and percussion. I prefer this one over the studio recording.

  • @unabonger777 same.

  • @unabonger777 ah i see right on i didn't know. i don't even remember how i came across this video, but when i saw the live performance tags i just thought to myself waaaiiiiitttttttt a second :{D doesn't mean it's good or bad.

and yeah whoever mixed it did a phenomenal job; especially, getting such a crisp sound out of the auto harp and not wanting to rip your ear drums out because of how annoying of an instrument they are.

  • every song i hear from them is amazing when theyre playing live, the field recordings and stuff are insanse...but everything i hear recorderd just dosent have the same feel, kinda like its over produced or something...i dunnoh

  • @supersketch90 I feel exactly the same

  • Is this on Itunes?

  • Oh how adorable!!! The lyrics are sad, as life can be, but the vocals are so real and pure i just feel good all over. Rock that autoharp yeah!

  • love this song:')

  • your voices sound really beatiful in the woods . my faviourite song you sang is tiger mountain peasant song by fleet foxes , you should deffintly stick to that kind of stuff instead of doing official videos and all.

  • Sweden...looks like IKEA-land... =) great song!

  • this is so warm. I want a sweater like that. oh and that forest must have excellent acoustics!

  • Keeping this simple... You two are simply beautiful!! Thank you for such wonderful harmonies!

  • Very good !

  • what is that musical instrument?

  • @catong131 yes i want to know too

  • @manucostar It's a guitar....and an autoharp :)

  • So good. Love love it!!

  • Simply amazing. Such captivating voices and beautiful voices. There's nothing better than watching the rain, drinking coffee and listening to First Aid Kit.

  • really soothing ^-^

  • This isn't live. You can hear her voice twice/doubled.

  • @CadenceIL thats her sister.. she sings back up.

  • @justforthesparks Actually, I hear what he's talking about also. I do hear the blond woman's voice and I can distinguish it from the dark haired woman's voice. When the dark haired woman sings alone, there is a chorus. They might have added a vocal track after recording in the forest. I'd love to know how this was recorded so well in the forest as well. If that is what they did, it's done so well that it's hard to tell. Anyone know who produced this, specifically production sound recordist?

  • @analogWeapon well since Im the director this is how we did it. We recorded everything live but added a voicetrack over the audio so what you hear is the original voice and a new voice mixed togheter. The instrument and everything els is just from the live take.

    Best

    Mats Udd, matsudd.com

  • @matsudd Thanks! I actually work for a company that makes field audio gear (Sound Devices, LLC), hence my interest (That and I really like First Aid Kit's work). If you could indulge a recording geek about what mics, preamps, recorders were used, that would be cool. No worries either way though. Thanks for the info and great sounding/looking work!

  • @CadenceIL

wow you should work for NASA

  • Just wonderful!

  • gosh they are so wonderful!!!

the video makes me long for the swedish autumn :)

  • <3 This kind of music ! Very talented girls, good luck to you! :)

  • cant tell you how much i love this song. its just great.. love these girl :)

  • what's the instrument called? not the guitar obviously, but the other one. I completely forget.

  • @ky4295 autoharp

  • Makes me proud to be Swedish(:

  • We played a gig with these wonderful spirits! Just want to say that they are possibly the kindest hearted girls i have ever encountered, with voices that can freeze you to stone as well. Thankyou! Hope you remember your gig in York, i sure as hell do!

  • Super :D

    Oby tak dalej :)

    3majcie się :*

  • Quality! Cant understand why they weren't allowed into the states?

  • I love this kind of stuff even though I'm a Metalhead... It's so... organic and real :D

Unfortunately over here in North America, this stuff is largely the territory of hipsters :(

  • @Metallicazack I'm not a hipster. C: I proudly listen to the music I wish to listen to. Especially folk. It's so lovely. I love how you used the words organic and real. Love it. Keep broadening your musical horizon.

  • @turtlesquirts

    :D That's refreshing!

I agree. The world needs more music like this and less of the stuff they play on the radio.

  • @Metallicazack

i agree. it's almost a turnoff if hipsters sink their claws in it, they get too cocky sometimes. but i listen anyways. you like what you like. it's good to keep your genres eclectic. it gets respect from similar people and keeps the dumb people scratching their heads.

  • i think these women are very talented!!! but unfortunately i looked up albums by them and found that when recorded their harmonies werent very clear... it was disappointing..

  • Pure talent. Love it

  • Using the power of music to find dead bodies^.^

  • dude , i love how they play all these unique instrument s

  • i have been listening to it again and again these couple of days

thank you for nylon magazines recent music issue ... if they weren't featured ... i wouldn't have gotten to listen to such amazing music

  • I live in sweden, I've meet Klara some times

  • amazing... i haven't been on their youtube pages in over a year... and now over 220 thousand views on this song... glad they are getting known.

  • In a year in America, one of these songs will become popular. Everyone of us viewers will watch as they become popular, but we knew about em first.

  • love this song

    love there name even more

  • I first started listening to these young ladies when they sung/played Fleet Foxes Tiger Mountain Peasant song, they did this absolutely beautifully. I think they are fantastic and they ROCK! Now catching up with their own material, and am loving everything i've heard so far....:O)

  • jag avlider. så bra.

  • I love this song <3

  • Beautiful voices!!

  • It is a shame some people here cannot appreciate music. Anyway, these ladies are great. Wondr why they don t become better known down here.

  • please stop behaving rude and acting hateful, thats not what music like this is made for

  • i love this. A LOT.

  • They should only perform in forests.

  • @a5dr3 great idea ;)

  • if you dont fwd this to 20 people then some strange disfigured creature will randomly climb out of a sewer and rape your little brother

  • fuck me is this true?!

  • i dont have a brother, stupid.

  • Two words: Thicker picks. That constant flicking sound and the monotanous guitar strumming tends to get annoying after thirty seconds. Other than that, I like it. I think I'll be listening in on these two for a while.

  • That flicking sound is the washboard the girl is playing. noob

  • That aint a washboard dumbass. Its a whatchamicallit.

  • @a5dr3 Autoharp!
