yeah, i just got a 13 inch unibody aluminum macbook pro and i am definatley NOT risking ruining it. although its sick to have a different colored keyboard, i doubt applecare will cover this kind of "mistake." Plus i would much rather just get a keyboard cover to make it colored.
i have the unibody macbook 2.4. i started taking it apart then had second thoughts and put it back together. it wont start like at all, no fans, cd drive, nothing. any fix?
This would be something I would try on a G4 powerbook that I bought used before risking it on my unibody Macbook!!!!! I would be afraid on ruining the Macbook plus voiding Applecare.
if it is still under warrenty you can take it to the apple store (if there is no water or drop dammage) and say it just stopped working (dont tell them you took it apart) and they might try to fix it
you may have shorted it. try grounding yourself next time and report to apple, say you were replacing the harddrive which is covered by the warranty (i believe, check online first) because its in the user's guide (i know that, i have a 17" macbook pro unibody)
@insanespad45 ok bud you never take part any electronic equipment, ESPECIALLY your prized ones and ones that are dear like your computer, i am A+ cert, and i still am careful and at time doubtful, so i dont try till my comfort level is backed up by knowledge. and the one thing you NEED and anti static wrist strap man. i mean really? but i guess people like you is what keeps us in work and money in our pocket for fixing peoples fuck-ups..lol please dude dont attempt outside your comfort level.
Why do you have to be a jerkoff? Just answer the kids question. I am an Apple Certified Mac Technician. There can be multiple issues but one you can try to do yourself is to reset the PMU (Power Management Unit).
After that you would have to have a ACMT look at it.
Ohne weiteres ist dies nicht möglich. Man müsste wahrscheinlich irgendwoher eine Stromversorgung bekommen, aber ich bin kein Fachmann und kann deshalb keine Auskunft geben.
translation: Easily this is not possible. One would have to get a current supply probably somewhere, but I am not a specialist and can therefore no information give.

does the 17 inch and 15 inch have a backlit keyboard?
sahab999 1 year ago
@sahab999 it depends on the model
The easiest way to check should be the three backlit keys F8 (shout down the backlit) F9 (less backlit) F10 (more backlit).
If these keys ain't on your keyboard, you don't have backlit.

@sahab999 they shud have em
