But for other simulators like the latest RailWorks it's instant.

the raildriver is a nice thing

but what i don't like is that it isn't properly tuned to every command you make in the instant. there's like a few sec. lag

now i will have to wait till their back in their office so that they recive our message and send a working copy, thats gonna take time too

I love the raildriver but i dont know where to go for new engine files, i tried the pi engineerin site but all they did were engine files and patches for add-ons that i dont have yet! and google dont seem to have any help..any help is appreciate

No you can only listen to what he has to say, on the other hand you can call the dispatcher and request clearance.

what are the specs on the computer your running the game on and what kind of frame rates are you getting?

Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (2.4G) Socket 939, DDR 400 2G RAM and a nVidia GeForce 7900GS on PCI-Express with latest driver.

I get around minimum 20 fps and max of 45 fps with it. After all the Surfliner add on is a very heavy weight.

You can purchase the Microsoft Train Simulator at some computer stores, or online.

As for the Surfliner addon... unfortunately, the development company went out of business and the addon is not being sold anymore.

Actually the original set (Trains, route and everything else) was made by Facing Point.

3DTrain only sell the trainsets now, instead of the whole enchilada...

A little clarification here! The route was made by Facing Point, the trains however was made by 3DTrains for the Surfliner route. Facing Point at some point did not honor the license agreement btween them and 3DTrains and eventually went belly up! 3DTrains has since reclaimed the rights to their trains and are selling them themselves.

How do you get the Raildriver to work with MSTS?

You need to download a driver/utility package from RailDriver dot com, under the Support->Technical downloads section.

Download, install, reboot, plug in and run the RailDriver icon on the desktop.

Included manual will guide you thru it.

The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner is not for sale anymore since the publishing company does not exist anymore.
