  • So, we cant use oil, we cant use coal, we cant use nuclear power... what do we have left ? Wind and solar? please... maybe we should all just die?, isn't that what the environmentalist religion is about?

  • This woman needs some meds...she's soo angry at the world and it shows through her rhetoric like "engage in peaceful civil disobedience"...there's nothing peaceful about shouting and protesting in public

  • You liberals hate everyone who works like the coal miners who will lose there jobs if liberals have there way. Liberals could care less if the country collapses if they can take work away from everybody. That's also fishermen, factory workers. truck drivers, you name it. Only the government is why liberals exist.

  • @stevedh7x21z --- your comment is neither true nor helpful in any way.

  • Global warming due to CO2 is a fraud. Wake up to more control on you. 10 mins to Expose Global Warming Scam - Watch on YT.

All the Planets are warming up. Natural cycles.Co2 is a Natural gas that even plants give off. Should we cut them all Down??? Don't be fooled by a pretty voice.

the NWO has its Army to fool you. - Don't be Fooled Again!

  • @deec269 Jesus what a fucking idiot you are, totally lapping up the rightwing propaganda. All you have to do is get a little bit educated to discover you're being lied to by people paid to lie to you.

  • @MagicMormonUnderwear When you go and do your research come back and apologize. I'll take it into consideration.

  • Yes we all need to be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of our trash. But don't be fooled by biofuel. It is made from corn. First the land is cleared and burned. Millions of acres of life blipped out to plant corn. Wake people. The real problem is that we are all slaves and will remain so until we stop protesting how we get our energy and just start loving and appreciating what it means to be a TRUE human.

  • susan who?? oh yeah that millionaire actress who jets in to these green events in a jet or a helicopter then driven in some high powered car polluting the air while telling the rest of us what we should be doing to save the plannet. fcuk off susan! thats my message to you.

  • It's not man alone ... it is the Universe in action, nature, god, natural processes, sun spots, gamma ray bursts and so on ... She (SS) is an out of touch with reality and science elitist joining a popular cause to better her career ... Junk science and pillow talk with Tim ...

  • @bossman068410 love how they cant handel the truth

  • AMAZING....POWERSHIFT09 Its time for a power shift unicorns, leprechauns, and clean coal.

  • protest rocked DC! put this in your browser and smoke it..... speaker(dot)gov/blog/?p=1711

  • coal is dirty and finite

  • @dudesolardude and powers your shity eletric car

  • @failurbanik there's like 5 ways to make electricity - all of them domestic. energy independence.

  • @dudesolardude tell me why does clean energy fail when goverment money isnt force feed to them

    tell me these "other" options

    solar is inefficent AT BEST

wind sucks half of the time

geo only is in a few spots

    hydro is the same

biomass is good but the leftists are scared of it so they wont allow it

  • @failurbanik if you are against subsidies, then be consistent and be against ALL subsidies. renewables have a rough time because the playing field is not level. petroleum and the auto industry have been heavily subsidized forever. that's what pisses me off about these arguments.

  • @dudesolardude if you're against subsidies then be consistent and be against ALL subsidies. petroleum and the auto industry have governent subsidized forever. this is what pisses me off about the "right." by the way i'm more conservative than the right is. I don't know why they call themselves that.

  • hey patbuchananarmy, wake up and read the science. hope your hummer catches on fire. the funny thing is i don't even care if global warming IS human induced. stopping coal will bring cleaner air, cleaner water(no mercury), stop tons of cancer in those regions, stop mountain top removal and set a good precedent for other developing countries. you are either slow or just a jerk.

  • @sockosockosocko Actually power plants emve shown it nsignificant amounts of mercury and studies based on actual air and particulate monitoring near coal stations that shutting down coal plants will do little to effect the environment.People look at a chimney on a coal fired power plant and assume the steam coming out is some type of nasty pollution. Most of the coal this country burns is from the powder river basin and burns as clean as natural gas and renewable just don't work.

  • @thinkingthingsthru i don't know a single person who'd agree with that.

  • @sockosockosocko There was a study done on this recently using actual data(air monitors) not heresay or associations. The Fisk & Crawford plants have mercury removal systems even though you can't measure mercury coming out of the stack with instrumentation(it is in the parts per trillion) The mercury in energy efficient light bulbs actuall y have substantial amounts of mercury. Greenpeace is a bunch of liars the person who was spokesman on the stack said she was a Chicagoan. Not from California

  • @sockosockosocko You don't know the science. You watch an Al Gore video and see water vapor coming out of stack and think your an expert. You probably have a degree in Liberal Arts and have never worked in Environmental Sciences or combustion engineering or Chemistry. Coal can and is burned cleanly with the use of precipitators(particulate), bag houses(particulate), ACI(Mercury), low nox burners (nox), scrubbers(sox) urea inj(nox), SCR(nox). Coal provides affordable power to the poor.

  • so I hope all you enviromaniacs enjoyed the snow at your global warming rally.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • no shit ha ha ha

  • Hey newtonbrook,

Every major scientific body in the world agrees the Earth is heating up thanks to our fossil fuel burning.

Sounds like someone is trying to tell you something.

  • Hey minimalmonkey,

I suggest reading up on the drivel you're spouting, you look thick! Global temperatures haven't risen for 10 years despite CO2 production at it's highest ever.

There's a reason you alarmists are having to adopt the term "climate change". May change to "global cooling" again if things carry on as they are.

  • DC march will be COLD and snowy.

Someone is trying to tell you something.

  • ha ha ha ha good one timmofella, fuck environmentalists and greenpeace

  • Global warming and climate change due to anthropogenic activites is real people, like it or not. The science is very clear on this.

This is probably the greatest threat to our well-being (and the planets, obviously) that we will ever face. In say 30-years, if it turns out the "hippie left-wing doomsayers" (aka most scientists) were right and the worst-case scenarios come true, what will you tell your children or grandchildren when they wonder how the fuck we allowed it to happen?

  • Have you ever sat down with your forebears and asked them why they made the mistakes that their generations made? I doubt most people have, and likewise I'm sure my kids and grandkids will be content dealing with their own errors and issues. Even if not, I think they will miss things like electricity more than a couple extinct species of bird and a few submerged beachfront hotels.

  • About time we had some mass action against the corporate greed that threatens to increase our climate instability. Nice work, Greenpeace!

  • "About time we had some mass action against the corporate greed that threatens to increase our climate instability. Nice work, Greenpeace!"

    Well said =)

  • Great, another actor telling us how to live our lives, and to believe in the great hoax.

  • There is no crisis ... warming precedes CO2 build up by 800 years ... so get over it ... THEN, why would any of you follow instructions from a movie actress ... ? ... what the hell does she know about anything but sex scenes ? Please do not encourage left wing nuts like her, her husband and Jane Fonda ... StopChaos

  • People like you need to go back to school to learn how to read, and learn good judgement. I hope you don't have any children, because if you do they won't have a planet left to inherit if you have anything to do with it. Such reactionary stupidity and denial. Ever heard of facts? Research? Intellectual rigor? No of course you haven't, obviously.

  • What do you mean they "won't have a planet left to inherit?" It will still be here most likely until the sun swallows it up as it runs out of fuel in a few billion more years.

  • we can run out of fossil fuels at this rate in 30 years, the oceans are on the verge of acidification which could happen any time, the ice shelf in Greenland will mostly likely fall into the ocean in 10 years raising ocean water level by as much as 20 feet causing massive destruction in coastal areas...etc

  • If it ever got hot enough for the Greenland ice sheet to melt in a decade's time, sea level rise would be the least of our concerns. The argument for this possibility seems to be "runaway global warming" where carbon dioxide coming out of solution in the oceans and methane from melting permafrost essentially cause a climate feedback loop. However, both temperature and CO2 have been substantially higher in the past than today, yet this has never occurred, so by what mechanism would it happen now?

  • The oceans are not going to become acidic overnight either, in fact there appears to be some contradiction over these processes. Cooler oceans absorb more CO2, yet global warming would mean they should be getting warmer with the net result of releasing CO2. Either way the observed change in surface pH is insignificant, and even at the present rate is in no danger of becoming acidic or even neutral for a very long time.

  • When can we protest the myth of man made global warming?

  • Some of the same "scientist" that are claiming Man made global warming is happening claimed in the 70's that we were headed for an ice age.

It's all a power/money grab. Get rid of coal? Ha! The emissions that would be caused by everyone heating their house with whatever other means would cause more "Global Warming" than the coal fired power plants.

If these people put any thought into what it is they say they might be taken more seriously.

  • I hope gun rights Americans will do this also. Guns are Americans birth right and no one has the right to remove the right of self-defense.

  • I might listen once you give up your 4000 square foot houses.

  • Global warming is the biggest threat ...how dare you !!

Hunger, War, Money System, Education..... these are the real problems of our times and you are talking about a thing called global warming that could be a natural process ??? it's like organizing a march on dc for building bases on mars..know what i mean ?!

    THINK

  • Maybe you should be more educated underpalmtrees. See all of that stuff that you talked about doesn't matter if we lose 30 % of all animal and plant life. Maybe you should get out from under the palm trees and do something worthwhile.

  • Can we agree that all the things underpalmtress has stated and global warming are pretty important things that need to be sorted out quickly.

  • slow natural heating process + pollution = a possible acceleration of greenhouse effect. THINK

  • Everything you listed has it's root cause in environmental degradation - of which AGW is currently the most significant.

You might try taking your own advice - think.

  • Are you serious ? "Everything you listed has it's root cause in environmental degradation" ...

Money system ??? , schoolsystem, wars , political participation.... you have to learn a lot little eco warrior.

You must hold the snake's head with yout hands ..... otherwise it will bite back and you will lose :(

YOu know this famous quote from Greenpeace???? After the last car is rollin, you will see thats impossible to eat hihgways

  • Environmental degradation touches everything and everyone on the planet. The enterprises and industries built on the ability to manufacture enormous profit by avoiding responsibility (in the form of pollution and slave wages) are the backbone of most, if not all, of the worlds problems - ESPECIALLY war and political participation. The fact you don't even see this as a possibility shows how ignorant and closed-minded you are.

Like most fools you think these systems are separate and unconnected.

  • Please join in on this exciting action: we've got to tell Congress that they need to set an example for all Americans. They need to stop using coal for heat in DC. It's time for 'fossil-free energy'(:>)!

  • I hope in the clean future for climate.

I hope the wonderful future for the planet.

    Domy

  • wow;

    cool

  • It's really time for us to get a grip - we've got to take action to stop global warming. It's time to step into the future and leave behind the primitive energies of digging up the earth and burning it's contents. Time to embrace change, and start something new and innovative - solar, wind and wave.

  • Thousands of people will take planes, trains, buses, and private automobiles to Washington to protest our over-dependence on oil, our profligate energy use, and our cavalier attitude towards the environment....

  • Avi, bamet, nu! It's always easier to tear down than build up. Don't be "rosh katan" and worry about the lit candle when the house is burning down.

  • Clean Coal is an oxymoron. Coal is probably 98% carbon with 2% impurities. Carbon is the problem with burning any fuel, so how can you make something that's 98% carbon "clean burning?"
