this is why i'm so glad my parents made no exceptions on me getting my license at 18. This is why practice with a parent who is an experienced driver is such an important thing. Driving awareness will do alot more than one may think
Teen Driving Safety is a serious problem. It's not the Teen Driver who is at fault, It's that the education they receive is lacking and incomplete. Passing a road test is not sufficient.
ok i get all this is really good info, but you cant always be a defensive driver, there will be times where you need to be an offensive driver. And also, i see that she pointed out how the kid didnt notice the other car stopped and the other with his brake lights on, but from the video, it looks like the kid has a while to go before he gets there, if you hadnt seen the video before, you could easily assume he was just slowing down to the light
I would start requiring new drivers on how to drive defensively, not just driving around the city. If everyone can learn how to drive defensively such as learning how to control a skid, or driving in snow, driving would be a bit more safer.
Amen to that. My parents have taught me to be a VERY defensive driver. Plus, you can be the best driver on the road, but there are still idiots out there who don't know how to drive.

it may be because they only give us 6 hours of driving time in drivers ed. we so need more driving time than classroom time.
