  • What state are you in? In some areas, there is a little-known statute that can be used to acquire neglected properties.

  • I have to wonder how NTP comes up with this list? It is beyond me how city dwellings esp. add'l group could Ever be preserved from capitalism. Why isnt there more work in small towns especially in the South. I agree w. photolitherland-but would ask Can't you do a better job with your selection process? From the few featured here-they seem to be less than compelling. How much does politics play in these decisions? Does anyone actually read these comments and offer answers?

  • I can't explain how NTHP comes up with their list, but to be fair, there are SO MANY endangered places nationwide. That said, it seems the list could be listS devided into categories: by type of place (structure, site, etc.), by region/state, etc. More needs to be done in regards to 'getting hands dirty' and on local levels. I'm not trying to badmouth NTHP. Im simply sharing some thoughts. We, HRPS, is committed to such actions.

  • What is the National Trust doing to protect endangered properties on the historic countryside, it just seems like your whole focus now is about saving urban structures and places.

  • I dont know EVERY property/structure NTHP is 'working to preserve/protect/save', but I am COMPLETE agreement with you in so much as more needs to be done on local, less-in-the-spotlight areas/regions.

  • I wish we could spend our money on historic preservation rather than bombing entire cities overseas.
