  • Honestly, I have so much more respect for Anky now that she has tried her hand at Reining. How many people who are already successful at another discipline ever take the risk of trying a completely new discipline? I honestly wish to see more people make the cross over to do multiple disciplines. Is she the best reiner I've ever seen? No, but she's still relatively new at it! Give her a brake! At least she is trying, right? I'd like to see some Reiners try dressage for a change.

  • To all those who are ridiculing Anky, I say : DO BETTER or SHUT YOUR YAP! I have no time or patience for internet bullies who need to make themselves feel better by tearing someone else down! She didn't show up at the WEG expecting to win, she KNEW she still had a good deal to learn. But SHE showed up. None of us did, I bet, and if any of you were members of other reigning teams...keep in mind, what goes around comes around...Karma will, eventually, bite you in the ass.

  • Give her a break she rides dressage for god sakes! It is just for fun!

  • Yawn...unimpressive ride. Frankly Wellington Jesus Teixeira of Brazil out rode her in every way possible.

At night mares around the world pray their babies will never be forced to endure the weight of Anky on their tender backs or feel the torture of Anky's hard unforgiving hands on their soft sensitive mouths.

  • I am not a particular fan of Anky but honestly ... there is absolutely no reason to mock her for her reining. I gather she has only been doing reining for well over a year. And I wonder how many would make it to big competitions in such a short time. Obviously, she has both experience and talent for riding :-)

And she can definitely highlight the sport!!!

To my knowledge Edward Gal is a good friend and a student of Anky. So he can thank her for being where he is.

  • poor horse i don't know how to write it in englsh but i don't remember that rollkur has sth to do with western riding..?

  • Do it on a Thoroughbred, or an Arab, Anky.

    Lame.

Guess Edward Gal was too much for her. She's a godawful rider.

  • Anky, GO BACK TO DRESSAGE and stop embarrassing the reining community. Your horse looks ridiculous and IN PAIN.

  • @SparklyReiner87 Don't tell her to go back to dressage! Tell her to leave the horse community entirely.

  • @jenlovesherponyy agreed!!!

  • @SparklyReiner87 Her horse looks great and she looks great. Anyone can do reining if they want, even dressage riders. If you watch the horses that wait to go in the ring, they move around too, because they are excited. Most reining patterns don't include a normal halt. This is just another element that she would like to include, to make her pattern unique. I would want to stand out too.

  • @takara9 this seems to be her trademark...at the 06 WEG Dressage Kurr competition, she halted at the entrance, and accepted a fault...which she more than made up for during the rest of the program.

  • say what u want-- i L O V E her!! she's my all time favorite dressage rider, and i think she did a great job with this performance as well

  • @skybaby6 FAIL!!! Have you not watched Edward Gal? Anky couldn't hope to be that good. She's lousy.

  • FAIL! it doesnt seem to matter if she rides dressage or reining either way she just doesnt seem to understand that riding is a partnership not a dictatorship

  • If she freaking let go of his face, maybe he'd preform better...poor guy at a walk and standstill was bobbing his head, trying to get relief...dressage...reining...either way she doesn't know how to let freaking go...

  • all i have to say is he looks so tense.

  • Pay attention .. her dressage horse doesn't Halt.. and her reining horse doesnt stop ... and stand still .. hmmm horse or rider .......I lean towards rider...error

  • Her dressage horse is recovering from an injury and painted black has been sold. She was the reserve for the Dutch reining team and one of her team mates horse sustained an injury. So she gets to compete now.

  • why???????????
