  • What a wonderful young woman you are! It takes courage to be like you.

  • @LordYodaTheWise I'm a christian teenage girl and I have to say, modesty is chill because it helps me remember God's definition of a real woman, and that's powerful.(I don't take it to the extent above)I am not weak or pathetic and I submit only to the people God calls me to,but that doesn't mean they are allowed to abuse me under God's law.I am a strong woman and God calls me to a life of action and He created me to be equal with men in most things. PS I ski,am politically active, and am respected

  • My late wife was raised in a well balanced Christian family. They knew the Word very well. She voluntarily said to me more than once that she wanted to submit to me. And she was good about modesty and wearing her head covering during the times prescribed in the NT. What I learned was that while these things blessed her, they also put more burdens on me. This was proper, and I was glad to take some of her concerns and worries for her. I'm glad things went this way. I loved my wife.

  • I agree with the one who posted the objection to the word HIJAB. And I strongly submit that, of all the varieties of plain and other head coverings, we do NOT need to imitate the spiritual garment of a distinctly non Christian faith.

Can you or any Christian woman be happy (and obedient) with a bandanna? Or a scarf, a rescued remnant that is in a subdued color?

  • I think it is important to be clear that you are doing this for the God of the Bible. Otherwise there is room in current (worldly) thinking that some people will construe this as being similar to Islam. And similar to some stories out there about women who are changing gradually to Moslem (Sharia) law & practices. If you have read enough you will agree that this distinction is crucial.

    Bless you for doing this!

    Michael.

  • I liked how you shared so openly.* Honesty is beautiful as well as modesty. I wear a veil to mass and wear skirts daily. This small change has indeed transformed me as well as my friends. We are part of a Modesty Crusade ministry. Modesty is more freeing and helps life a life of purity and honesty. :)

  • @frownstrong Unless the immodest NEED a good example!!

  • Great video!

  • @RabinoBoricuaVirtual Balzac, if you are looking for a burka or a hijab for yourself, this is the wrong place, try a muslim video. I don't think a nurse in a VA hosp. is allowed to wear a burka,

  • The head covering was worn by woman who lead public prayer and female prophets at the church at Corinth.

  • The original purpose of the headcovering for Christian women is to show a sign of authority. We are to be modest in dress but the headcovering wasn't specifically stated to be for modesty but as a symbol of authority that the man has over woman.

however, I will agree that it does make one pay more attention to their dress, not to have the ta tas hanging out with your head covered.

  • @301sophi tatas need to be covered, and the rest should be too , if the man in charge loves his woman!!

  • Amen and good video! Keep standing for King Jesus!

  • True! God bless!

  • Thank you for posting Sister, I've been covering my head for about 12 years on a daily basis, at first I would only cover within the church or just when I was praying. But God led me to a closer walk with Him and opened my understanding to the fact that I could be free to pray w/o ceasing or at any time, if I just kept my head always covered. (An act of submission & obedience to His Word)

Usually, i tie my scarf in a bun, varying the colors with my clothing. I enjoy dressing modestly. Peace.

  • I glad to know there's some godly women out there following GODS Command. I GUESS THESE OTHER CHURCH LADIES WHO LAUGH DIDN"T GET THE MEMO. I'M GLAD SOMEONE BESIDES ME CAN READ. I pray you recieve more of the Holy Ghost to keep you in your sufferings. amen

  • Islam is not true, just because you think the modesty is good. Go out and question Islam, don't believe it until you know without a shadow of a doubt it's true. Don't be one of the stupid talking heads, ok? seriously!

  • God bless you, honey, for your seriousness and diligence in searching for God's will in your life and for your obedience, as you see it, to His desire's for you. May God bless you and keep you; may He make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.

  • wow, Amen sister! Praise God for your faithfulness and humility and surrender to the call of Jesus Christ!! You are on the right path! This is done at my church as well, and it is right! May God's blessing and peace attend you!

  • Modesty and obedience to the will of God is the most beautiful attribute of a woman that loves God and most anyone should be able to respect that. Sister my prayers are with you in your journey of faithfulness. May the peace of God be upon you.

  • Congratulations on your commitment to modesty. As a South Dakotan woman who covers & believes that women should have the RIGHT to be modest if they choose, especially if they choose to do so because of their personal faith. I started many years ago an interfaith group called Covered Women 4 God to bring support to women of faith who felt isolated. Great Video blog & hope you can remain on your path of modesty without undo pressure from those who seek to force their values upon you.

  • Let me ask you a question.

What makes you think that you genuinely covering your head for the true GOD?

  • Why when muslim girls wear hejab or head cover they look terrorist while hejab must be dressed in Christianity?

    read quran

  • fuck quran.

  • as a man,i think that wearing sheitels, and floor length skirts, and head scarfs is a very extreme way to dress for god. i like modest attire.and i think skin tight clothes look slutty. but i wouldn't like trading one extreme for another

  • I agree.

  • Thanks for your video. I sort of understand where you are coming from in the whole modesty thing and totally respect your choice. i do try to dress modestly but well mostly out of self respect and making it clear that i have boundaries, i have a problem with the whole submission to husband thing. i dont have a problem with submitting to God. it just seems to me that some of the men in the bible hated women so how can we be sure this is Gods word and not some blokes? your thoughts would be good

  • I was called to stop wearing jeans and pants in 2003. I just started to wear skirts all of the time. I was surprised by how people reacted to this. I was asked "What religion are you?" or looked at strangely. To be honest I never did it for religious beliefs....at the time, but because I enjoyed being in touch with my feminimity. I noticed that men treated me differently. More respectful.

  • @BitterrootJournal you are all crazy.

  • @BitterrootJournal More Respectful huh? How about when you started with the "Exousia"- the head covering? Here it is plain and simple- when you cover, you say " I am going my Father's or Husbands way!". Praise God. Otherwise, by the old standard, you're a prostitute! Seems like a harsh judgement, but prove me wrong, and I'll love you more for it!

  • great video- I love to hear of other faiths [I am muslim] that are doing something so profound for their beliefs and head covering/modesty has changed me life for the same reasons you mentioned. God bless you.

  • I'm a Catholc as well, and I think that the Hijab style is the most beautiful, and covering way.I wear the hijab underscart, with a large scarf on that, tied in the back so that it doesnt cover my neck, but I really would like to wear it this way. I don't know what my husband would say though...

  • Amen to those who wear a Christian Hijab! I too am a Head covering Christian!

  • @PecanSandy309 What's an Arabic word doing in an English sentence?! Hijab?

    How 'bout veil?

  • Hello! How did I not know about your channel? Thank you for your channel. (FTR, I'm a full time cover-er too!)

  • Cover head? Sounds good... it's better than claiming you're a believer, but instead being a practical atheist.

  • Sister, your right on point with wearing the headcovering. You are being obedient to Christ rather than this preverts system so-called Christianity. I Corinthians chapter 11 explains clearly that a women should cover their heads. Thank God for the truth and your example. The place were i fellowship all the women who are holy unot the LORD wears a headcovering. Keep the faith and bear the repoarch of Christ and your reward will be great in the kingdom!

  • I think hijab is beautiful. I am a Catholic, and I have chosen to wear the head scarf. Modesty is vital to be taken seriously, whether as a person in society or witnessing to others. Ppl may stare, but its curiosity... you know they're wondering....and with that may start a conversation... so they may understand why you choose to wear the veil. It really is beautiful, and only those who wear it can feel this liberating gift from God!

  • very different but normal, try checking out the Apostolic churches most of them are hispanic members but we also practice the veil when women pray and prophesy. some use thicker material while the most popular is the net material, also women dont cut their hair, no jewlery,no painted nails or face. its interesting.

    God bless you sister!!

  • I don't think you meant it this way... but you're comment is slightly offensive to Muslim people. Just thought you should be aware of that

  • wooow amen sister

  • The only reason a person sticks out is because 80% of the people are inmodest & it is comon. A modest person will stick out. It is like a witness for our Lord. Better to be modest than inmodest. If a person notices modesty then that is great. More people should think twice about what they are wearing

  • P.S. I noticed on your blog you showed your favorite tv and movies. Take the step you know you should and get rid of that cable subscription, it is unbecoming for a woman professing holiness to spend money and time on the worldly filth that disregards God. I promise that soon you will be doing videos about how wonderful it was when you got rid of your tv (immodesty in spirit) just like how wonderful it was when you started submitting to modesty of dress.. God Bless!!!

  • Most cable can be evil, yes, but, just talking about myself here, I enjoy watching some documentaries on channels that you can only see on channels with cable. There are also good news channels, too. But I understand what you mean when it pertains to tv series and such.

  • I totally agree. There is nothing on the eyeball of the devil that is for a Christian woman to be watching. You are suppose to keep your minds pure

  • Amen to full submission to Christ. Jesus said that if you will not loose your life now then you will loose it later. without holiness no one will see God Heb 12:14. Anyone who knows the truth of Cor. 11 and does not follow it will not find eternal life, for she who knows the simple commands of scripture and does not obey, it is sin, and the wages of sin is death. Amen.

  • Wearing a headcovering should be an act of humility. One thing that I think can be an issue with a headcovering is pride, like, "Oh, I'm wearing a headcovering, I'm so much better than other women who don't wear one." I'm not trying to be mean or put down women who wear them, because I wear them too. I'm just saying to my Christian sisters out there to examine your heart & your motives before you start wearing one. Is this what God wants you to do, or are you doing this for your own glory?

  • Your videos are so inspirational!!! Thank you for them so much.

From an Orthodox Christian from Latvia.

  • It is nice to see a pro-headcovering vloger out there. I teach the head covering and some of the women in my congregation really appreiciate you teachings. Keep up the great work. Stay strong. The heretic.

  • Keep it strong ,,,,,you are beautiful ...

  • Really glad to see that you're making videos!

I'm a 17 year old Messianic, and I've been contemplating about wearing headcoverings for a while now.

  • me too I totally have been doing that these videos have helped me actually take a step in the right place.

  • I love how open you are for questions on your beliefs and experiences. I have been modest dressing for four years now and I have felt the Lord moving on me for about 1 1/2 to 2 yrs to wear a head covering. I still have not submitted as I know I should. I have went back and forth with it. So I have started wearing my hair up mostly in a clip. Thank you for your videos and the kind comment you left me.

  • Beautifully explained :)
