You're partially correct. Steam is indeed produced, but snow is as well. Look closer, you'll see.

TBH, I think it's an argument that's been discussed at great length in the past, and I'm not sure we'll ever get down to the real truth or answer.
Great vid, and thanks for posting, I do feel sorry for you having to be in such harsh cold climates!

You've not made snow, you've made Steam!
Directly after you threw the hot water in the air, it fell, but what was seen in the air afterwards was hot water vapor as it went into the cold atmosphere, this is mist and made of tiny droplets of liquid water.
Snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material.
