maybe its just the acoustics of the garage but good drumming and general all round playing. its 5 star its just the drumming was too loud. now it didn't overpower the guitars as much as it could have maybe were the camera was or something but when voodoo chile/child was first performed with jh mitch mitchell made sure he was 100mph and loud and there but he had enough talent to make it go inline a bit more with the guitar playing. i think you should crank your amps up to 11!!!!!!

An incredible cover. I dunno why SRV's version is so famous. SRV eats shit compared to you guys - srv tried to copy the original and made it sound like total crap. You guys improvised, made it sound new, but kept the original feeling of the track - that's what covers are all about. I well enjoyed that - you guys rule !!!

Srv's version is not really a cover, cause it's just the same thing played by srv (with a few mess ups here and there). Even the open hi-hat thing in the beginning is not the same as the real track and doesn't sound half as good. Just my opinion tho...

voodoo child uses a wah pedal and vibrato, not whammy really. And little wing uses the whammy once, after the natural 12th fret harmonics before the solo. Not sure how he could mess this up. If he covered machine gun then maybe so but I don't think he covered it. His version of little wing is entirely different. I can play both versions, not the same at all. The high hat is the drummer not the guitarist. Your argument is losing ground.

The hi-hat thing in the beginning is the drummer - yes. But seeing as how this is SRV's band, he could've told the drummer to tighten it up a little. Mitch Mitchel did a way better job on the drums.

Anyway. What SRV did is try to replicate the song, and these guys here at least added a lot of their own ideas and made it something new. I'm not saying SRV is not good, I'm just saying these guys here did a hell of a better job than srv. :)
