  • I have a huge tank cycling and im going to get some rays but i ran into a problem and need help.. i have just 2 t5, a precision marine bullet 3 skimmer, a sump setup. My temps are tooo high. They were at 86 so i took my heater out and turned the fan on under the tank venting hot air out. Still its at 82-84. I tried raising my light and not much happened. I need to keep my glass top cause i cant do the evaporation thing. Plus i might have an escape artist. Chillers are just to much.. please help

  • hey fool those are mantarays not sting rays they have fins tail instead of stingers

  • @chrisman180 manta rays are 20 feet wide and weigh hundreds of pounds. a manta rays mouth is wider than that tank

  • aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • THEY SEEM TO DISLIKE HANDLING YOU GOOBER

  • can you get there stig removed?? does it come back

  • I used to be scared of stingrays because of the irwin accident. but my bf took me to a place you get play with then in the mall, and now i absolutely LOVE them! (i'd never feed one, because i did watch a huge 4 ft ray chomp the TRAINER'S thumb tip off. lol) Blood everywhere. . .

  • how fast do thay grow and how long will a 90 gal house them

  • I'm scare of them but i love to eat them...Sambal Stingray

  • My god learn about tanks then post vids noob, ur poor fish.

  • all those bright fish poke them :O

  • I don't think either of them are very hungry.

  • treat him with respect lol tell that to the fish that are pecking on him that cant be good

  • wow so this sting ray is obviously stressed, trying to hide and such not to mention the fish are picking on it like crazy.

  • Perhaps you should move it to a suitable tank and stop disturbing the ray??.. Dick.

  • @ThomasMesher shut up i think he knows wat hes doing how many fishtanks dos he have thereare they all fine yes so shut up cunt

  • a yellow angel was picking on the stingray

  • unfortunatley steve irwin took this vid a bit too serious

  • if I get one will my green moray eel, thats about 2.5-3 feet, and my dogface puffer, thats about 3 inches, harm it??

    please help!

  • @jeff77534 yes most likely

  • Oh dear, really have to question the guys knowledge given he's stood there as the angel is picking at the rays and chasing them! That will just stress out the rays and kill them, or worse the angel will pick at the rays eyes and blind them.

  • how big do rays normaly get? =)

  • What a fucking idiot. That is not how you feed a fish...

And PS: they ARE as dangerous as people think they are.

  • you said in the beginning, BIT. if a ray bites, it just feels like a rough pair of rocks rubbing together. the sting is where its at. sorry if it seems like im giving you crap

  • i bet tht stingrays well pissed of

  • you foot is a lot different than your heart. i guess thats what happens when you try to stick your thumb in its bum

  • Are these easier to take care of then the Freshwater stingrays? Or are they just as sensitive.

  • thanxs alot a great video

  • the fish are playing with the ray like a pet..... u are a fucken idiot

  • way to be a big man with a small sting ray, ur name should be village idiots. go pick up a full sized one and get the steve irwin experience

  • these rays are california stingrays right?

  • Tell that to Steve Erwin

  • @Alex0992

    irwin

  • is there anny sting ray that i can put in a 32 gal fish tank? preferible freshwater

  • @headbud43 Google is your friend. Retard.

  • @headbud43 for a freshwater sting ray, id probably recommend a teacup stingray. you need at least 55 gallons for those guys though. you have to have perfect water parameters and awesome filtration though, and you can't have ANY ammonia whatsoever, lol

  • @headbud43 Yep. Teacup but you will have to move it after a year or so. I'm sure you can stock up 125 dollars and buy a 55 Gallon tank on craigslist

  • @sworddemon152 will it to much harm if i dont move it and just keep it in the 32? and how much is a teacup stingray and what do they eat?

  • @headbud43 A Teacup stingray is around 80 dollars. They eat Ghost shrimp, Bloodworms, Blackworms, And krill. I Bought one yesterday. It will harm it after a while because it's organs will be growing but it's body wont and after a while it will die. So i would prefer a 55 gallon.

  • @headbud43 all frshwater stingrays should not even be kept in a 32 gallon as a pup, a 55 to grow them out in and then mayby a 200-300 gallon tank they grow two foot long disks, this is freshwater im sure some saltwater get smaller

  • he isnt going to live long with that lemon peel angel picking on him like that,

  • whats the smallest species of stingray

  • what is the species of stingray in the video?

  • wow they really should have removed the angel from that aquarium, it was picking on the stingrays, which happen to be sensitive, just like sharks.

  • how venomous r they do u have to see a dr if ur stung

  • @Alidore4 i heard its just a bee sting

  • @badasschan oh i hope so cause some stingray venoms r extremely deadly

  • @Alidore4 well it depens on the type you get i think

  • what is the smallest gallon tank for a salt warter sting ray?

  • @con999000 Depending on the species. Usually like 150 gallons.

  • i was woundering can i put a freshwater stingray in a 200 gallon aquarium and does it really need a shot? cause i hear they need shots

  • yes, you could acually have two. you will need sand, ph water, and some hiding spots. good fish to keep with it would be oscars, angel fish, other rays, tire track eels, paroon sharks, and discus fish

  • i was wondering how long do i let a saltwater aquarium run before i add fish?

  • the smallest stingray speicies grows to 2' and most grow to 4' and some to over 6'+ so best case you want something around the 400usg size to keep one.

  • its there stinger that they stand on, the stingrays dont bite them. haha ;;P

  • are stingrays safe for a reef??

  • they can be, depending on the size o the tank, anything under 400 gallons with less than 10 square feet of usable sand is unethical in my oppinion.

  • 400 gal. w/10 square ft. of usable sand for a baby stingray?? anything less is unethical?? o.k. rockerfeller...we can't all have a 400 gallon tank. besides, a ray don't really need all of that..i kept my colombian in a 55gal. for years till i sold him...never had a problem.

  • wow there so cool

  • I think they are very cute

  • Fish help available at TheExoticFish . com

  • lol being real gentle as he force feeds the stingray

  • treating him with respect means leaving him alone MORON!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "i treat him with respect"..lol..what a goof!!!..that is an unpredictable animal and should be left alone in the ocean, not fed like a circus animal!!!!...IDIOT!!! All of the vids I have seen from this guy are LAME!!

  • Stingrays should be kept in the OCEAN they are not for home aquariums unless they are in a MASSIVE tank, I'm not talking a 220g, much much larger.

  • Hey I have a saltwater tank 7ft,30inch,30inch. Does anybody know what kind of rays those are please help me. thanks

  • I have seen several clips from this guy and He hasn't a clue as to what he is talking about. DO NOT FOLLOW THIS GUYS ADVISE!. You will save yourself from alot of pain and grief..Unbeleivably bad advise!!

  • When they're bigger he won't be able to stick his hand in there without the risk of being stung.

  • did you listen to video at all ?

  • Crap!

when there get older there know him better and trust him more.

  • stingrays arent dogs stupid.

  • lol i keep stingrays my self.

    they are very intelligent,

and quickly learn to know you,

an example if one from my family trying to hand feed them, they not gonna come.

but if I do they eat from my hand. so you absolutely wrong on that one

  • Well, then I stand corrected.

  • one question, what size tank would I need for a blue spotted, or yellow stingray? and will they eat my smaller fish?

  • Yes they will try to eat all the fish also.

Now I do not know the yellow stingray but you can keep P.motoro in relatively small aquariums least 720 liters of adult fish.

  • Motoro is is the Biggest freshwater stingray! 720l is way to small. ps. the grow bigger than 60cm (which is the width of most 720liters). and they don't try to eat fish who are not smaller than themselves.

  • Mabye you have read that crap on the internet, i dont know.

But they never grow so big.

  • you obviously have never kept a stingray... why did you advice someone to get one of the biggest species for a 720ltr? even if they only grew 40cm 720ltr is way to small. a 40cm would be over 60cm including the tail.

  • I have keept p. reticulatus,

    one of the smallest stingrays.

and i know many who keeps adults p. motoro in 720 liter they could easy go there whole their lives.

  • And p. motoro is not one is the biggst,

Potamotrygon sp. peru can be about 1 meter in nature.

  • true but peru is rare, i was talking about the common ones.

  • Yes they will try to eat all the fishs.

Now I do not know the yellow stingray but you can keep P.motoro in relatively small aquariums least 720 liters of adult fish.

but dont do like him at the video, remember they are highly toxic and can cause major pain

  • yes they will try to all fishes.

now i dont know blue spotted or yellow but you can keep P.motoro in relatively small aquariums 720 liters least for adult fish.

but now dont do like him at the video, remember they are highly toxic and can cause major pain.

  • it fun feeding hude stingrays :)

  • how big do they get?

  • roughly 2-3ft long and about 1-2ft of tail.

  • What size tank do u recomend.
