  • Nice move, but it wasn't the Dream Shake. A Dream Shake is more like a fake layup from under the basket.

  • shut the fuck up yall lame people describing what a travel is and isnt he didnt travel if your gonna sound lame go watch a MMA video

  • I never understood why KG never played post more. Settled for too many midrange shots.

  • @texaspete33 he was one of the first pfs to really dominate by using an inside/outside combo game and sort of revolutionized the position in that regard. now you see everybody but 7 footers step out to shoot jumpers, and even some of them can, like dirk. hes a little skinny to force his way down like duncan or shaq but is still long enough to rebound.

  • someone has no clue what the dream shake is...still a nice move by KG

  • @treezX Yeah, YOU obviously have no idea what a dream shake is.

  • @shadow1dx search hakeem olojuwon dream shake....THATS a dream shake...KG's little move there was nice but not quite a dream shake

  • @treezX When KG SHAKES his shoulders, gives a little fake and shoots a fadeaway jumper. THAT's the Dream SHAKE. The movement of his shoulders.

A double move? What the hell? How does the name The Dream SHAKE even come from a double move? It doesn't even make any sense.

  • @shadow1dx you seriously think "the movement in his shoulders" along with a fadeaway is the dream shake? TOO FUNNY! do your homework kid, you have no clue what a dream shake is

  • @treezX Yes SHAKING your shoulders is the Dream SHAKE. See the correlation or should I draw you a picture?

Explain how a double move (wtf) gets granted the name the Dream SHAKE.

  • @shadow1dx sorry you are simply wrong...shaking your shoulders is not a dream shake lol theres nothing special about shaking your shoulders...like i told you before, look up hakeem olajuwon and you'll see the real deal

  • @treezX I already told you that idiots call any double move Hakeem does as a Dream Shake which is incorrect.

And nothing is special about Iverson's cross over, Kareem's skyhook, Jordan fadeaway. Those were moves done before any of them did them but specific moves become synonymous with those who perfect them and nobody faked their shoulders and shot that baseline fadeaway better than Hakeem did.

  • it was milkshake

  • Lebron traveled. Sorry.

  • Beautiful. A shake and ball fake.

  • That was a nice move, but it wasnt a dream shake.

  • @Cytron36 Yes it was, he just needed to fade away if he was trying to replicate Hakeem.

  • @Cytron36 it was the wtf am i doing oh shit! KG!

  • Thats called Shimmy Fake buddy thats all Garnett

  • Yes, both his feet were planted BEFORE he started the dribble but then, once the move has begun and once the ball has been picked up after said dribble, you cannot choose your pivot foot unless you come to a jumpstop. Im not arguing dude, its just the way Ive ben brough up playing basketball and Ive been playing 16 years. In KGs example Id only pick up the the dribble, shake left with my right being the pivot and then fading away to the baseline for the jumpshot. Tis a nice move regardless.

  • he didn't travel at all, he held his ground when he turned his back to the defender, and landed on two feet, at this point you can chose which foot you want as your pivot. In that situation he chose his left foot as his pivot.

  • he lifted his pivot foot but did not bring it back down. no travel.

  • uuuuh walk

  • thats a walk

  • That's Kareem's sky hook, but he 'babied' it up a bit.

  • search hakeem olajuwon dream shake for the real dream shake.

  • TRAVELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl

  • that wasn't even close to a "dream" shake, just a shake and a travel..

  • @fannypack311 No travel brah

  • no travel. watch it slow as he pick ups his dribble he plants his left foot.

  • worst dream shake ever

  • Legit

  • that's not travel. it's only travel if he plants that right leg before he shoots

  • To be fair this move is legit IF a player posts up and comes to a 2 footed jump stop. From here you can then pivot on either foot to give yourself 2 good options.

KG doesnt do a 2 foot jumpstop, he takes his 2 steps (left foot and then his right which would result in his RIGHT foot being the pivot. He spins of his left tho)

    Travellin violation.

  • @pabarrie23 No, his left foot is the pivot. Both feet are on the ground when he picks the ball up, then he takes one step with his right foot. His pivot foot wasn't lifted until he jumped.

  • @SolidSnakeRules In order for a player to choose their pivotal foot they must come down to a 2 footed jumpstop which KG does not. Each step he takes is indeed just a step (Right foot pivot, left step and then a right step). There is no jump stop. Because of this he cannot choose his pivotal foot and, with the way the balance goes with this short drive to left and a post up over his left shoudler, his right foot is the pivot. He shakes, spins to his left and his lifts right foot = Travel. Peace.

  • @pabarrie23 a 'jump stop' has nothing to do with it. His feet were planted when he picked the ball up. If what you're saying is true then someone cannot pivot before they dribble, can they? Yet they can. Peace.

  • @pabarrie23 No, they do not have to come to a jump stop to be able to choose a pivot foot. They simply have to have both feet on the floor when they pick their dribble up. KG did here....no travel. And that's coming from a laker fan who hates KG. But this was no dream Shake.

  • @coolpkb Hey im a huge celtics fan. But that was a travel. Both his legs where planted when he started to shimmy. That was the end of the dribble but when step with both his feet before the hook.

  • @RichHobOmg Nope. After he gathers the dribble, he is planted firmly on both feet. A pivot foot has not been designated yet. He then pivots on his left foot. Completely legal. here's the key: steps taken while simultaneously gathering the dribble don't count. Only when the ball is secured do steps count and, at the moment the ball is secure in both hands both his feet are on the ground. he then only moves his right foot.

  • That was a travel.....he did pivot into his backward positon than pivoted again spinning around Beasley.

  • Comment removed

  • thats a travel... he spun landed his left pivot foot, then did shake, then he switched pivot again to his right foot. Travel.

  • not hating or anything, but seriously, that's a travel

  • travel

  • im a lake fan.. but that was nasty. wish KG was any other team.

  • he moved te wrong foot, if he had used his left foot for the spin it would have been legal

and thats not a dream shake by the way

a dream shake is when you hold out the ball with one hand in one direction and then pull your body into the other direction

  • Go read the rules, you cant stop , fake and then go for another step, thats not legal at all. I love KG he is awesome, but that was grouse.

  • @Rodrigo121Aguilar Lol Kobe does it all the time, and they make it look so smooth that it's hard to tell from the first time.

  • @Rodrigo121Aguilar U can if u keep ur pivot foot constant which is what KG did. No travel

  • @FingFer21 lolll ur an idiot, once u establish a pivot foot u cant switch it. no excuses.

  • @canttouchthis995 He never switched his pivot foot

  • @FingFer21 oh snap you're right. it really looked like he was pivoting on his right but he never established one. good eyes.

  • @FingFer21 he would have done that if he hadn`t hopped at last step. Obvious Travel

  • WTF. Travelling!

  • @Rodrigo121Aguilar That was 2 steps..
