I never heard of this show, but I like stuff like this and it is hard to find series like this on dvd. I got an exbrother in law in canada, who has been in a wheel chair for 20 years from an auto accident and he swears that he go a phone call from his step father who was dying in a hospital after the guy died and all that he heard was labored breathing and is sorry that he did not keep the message on his answering machine, hey I don't judge, if that is what float your boat I will humor them.
We will have fun pointing-out the speech of the people of Stinking Creek, however it is just a sliding scale between them and most of Americans. The rest may have a better grasp of the English language than they do, but it is still a tenuous hold.
I wonder what the medical examiner said when he examined the car... I imagine he scratched his head, furrowed his brow and said "Uuhh... I think he's dey-ed..."
@WillShakespeare2007 I dont know about that- I can understand a texan or guy from Missouri easier then a Geordie and my old man was from Yorkshire and his relatives have a REAL thick accent. Received Pronunciation is used by perhaps 2 percent of the population these days.
I rather like accents- its a shame that their all vanishing into the mush of TV speak kids pick up these days.
@auraofgloom - I was just having a bit of fun with Americans by saying they all sound like these guys. Love the US really but we English love to poke fun. The last time I heard people speak like this was the movie deliverance. "squeal boy...squeal like a pig!"..."you've got a preety mouth" and so forth!
Did that trooper (Mr Garrison) say the fire crew were trying to get the fire "distiguished"? Um, the fire is the hot glowing thing where the smoke is coming from. This investigation got off to a bad start.
@trueguinnessking Yes and the other guy says "today that they got the phone call" instead of "the day that they got the phone call". I could go on....indefinately
I guess anyone can get a job as a copper at this stinking creek!
