I suppose... but then again we managed to get Warwick engraved onto the trophy somehow ?!?!? :) I'm not one to rub salt in anyone's wound though - you did yourself proud.
We met the UCL team the day before our very first round in the hotel, after they had a victory whilst we were near-nervous wrecks. They were one of the friendliest teams that year, so it was a shame we had to face each other.
Revenge was quite sweet (see posted video)... I happen to know Nathaniel Christopher on the Warwick team, but he was probably too embarrassed to mention it.
Very impressive! I think I got 3 out of that bunch (Manhattan, Sing-Sing, and Stone) owing only to being an American who'se watched plenty of British TV shows!
you're clever dude, and I can see that you're a real world traveller. I think university challenge is a good example that proves that men are clearly more intelligent than women...most women on it just sit there whilst the guys like urself just rattle off the answers.
And just the other night Gail Trimble was the best player on the Corpus Christi Oxford (!) team as they racked up 330 points against Durham - and she wasn't the captain.
I suppose he probably is clever, although University Challenge is hardly a test of 'cleverness'; it's really about knowledge (admittedly, this chap has his fair share.)

Ha, yes, pretty clear victory for the Warwick that time... overall I think that makes a 350-340 aggregate win for UCL :)

Very good. I got two before him. (But sadly that was it.)

Well I agree with your first sentence...

but not the second...look at your own team for a start...no girls

Think about the sample size, and possible selection effects...

Poor Warwick!
How was UCL?

You shouldn't feel that sorry. Two years later Warwick thrashed UCL in the semi-finals - almost single-handedly by a girl by the way bertyblue!
