Perhaps the game would end if the government openly allowed us to know possible plans these beings would have. Maybe that would be the deal breaker. The reason our Gov. has been so aloof. @dubDMA In no way do I begrudge or dispute your opinion. I just think about why an alien civiliation would secretly visit us and not reveal themselves fully if they wanted only beniegn intentions. If such an alien presence had techicallogical advantage over us they would have no issue with being fully open to their intentions. Granted, our official policy is clearly to disable and retrieve discretely, any and all of their [alien or extradimentional biengs'] technology.
@dubDMA Indeed aliens probably wont be hostile BUT you have to remember that aliens will probably be descended from predators much like we are natural predators on our own planet and may still have inherited predatory and violent aspects. Tho invading earth for its natural resources is very unlikely because there is more than enough of that out on dead planets and asteroids and as you said they would if anything prolly just wanna say hi!
