Sarah palin exhibited characteristics that were unfavorable; characteristics that did not indicate she was ready to be vice President let a lone possibly commander and cheif. during thoroughout the campaign.she was incoherent, unable to answer the simpest of questions, and seemed to be out of her league. As far as education, Barrack not only graduated at the top of his class , he was also president of the Harvard Law Review, not mention a Professor. Another fact that established Barrack as a strong candidate was his involment in his community. Giving up a high paying job, to help out his community took sacrifice, this was a selfless quality in him. would you have done the same. McCain served and risked his life for his country. Within 3 months sarah palin managed to drag the republican ticket down the political drain. Now to most juicy part. John, Barack and Biden were all U.S senators, you're comparing two different branches of government, she's not even in the same playing field. Though she is not TOTALLY under the authority U.S senate she does not interfer. The Senate deals mainly with the president. Also resposilieties for a governor vary from state to state. Alaska's demands being a population of less than a million, are mainly of the natural variety.

She had no consistant experience in making choices that would effect the entire country. Thus making her not as qualified as the other 3. Now after, this she didn't make it any easier on herself by her actions thoughout the campaign. Couldnt give us one news paper of choice, couldnt fully define what a VP did, did not know what the bush doctrine was, did notihing to silence the racist core that was her base,$150.000 on clothing,etc. No quesion she wasnt qualified

As far as Obama voting for the patriot act, e wasnt even in the U.S senate when it was passed...lol When he became a U.S senator, it was strongly revised. Meaning that any powers it had to invade people's privacy unchecked ere stripped away, and according to the Majority of all of the Senators, it was better that what the hose proposed. He ever voted for the patriot Act, as the bush administration had it.

That was only one aspect, and an overshadowed one at that. He still convinced 58 million people that was the right plan...lol. Sarah Palin's involvment in his campaign was undoubtabley, his biggest issue. The fact that she could possibly be presidnet was too much for many to handle. Barrack stood and voted against the war, he was for higher taxation for the rich,as a state senator he was well recieved, Promoted border security, called for focus on dafur, he was the first to publicly speak out against the war, this was in 02, He called for more service in Katrina stricken areas, promoted universal healthcare, explain to me in detail what about his voting record contradicted these things. Here is Our biggest. issue. As far as Qulifications we se it differently. Based on all your statments, you Acknowledge that the Senate is Somewhat of a higher position than astate govenor, yet the same cannot be said for Palin, You define qualifications as just a position held, and dont not take into acoutn oter characteristics I believe are neccessary to be "Qualified" Like basic knowelgde of the position in which you could enter, common ability to answer simple questions, judgment, etc

I'm not sure what your speaking of because if indeed te federal government had all this power we wouldn still have state to state votes and regulation.
