What you're looking at here is the arcade version which used the powerful System 16 board. Much better than the Mega Drive / Genesis version!

I loved this game when I was a little kid. Never got to the end though >.> It deffinitely plays close to Shinobi. I loved how your armor came off after taking a bit of damage. I wish there was a remake... almost (If only it was made by a dedicated team who took their time.)

Mega Drive IS Genesis (with no add-ons) outside of the US. The USA were the only country where the 16 Bit Sega Mega Drive was renamed because of copyright problems of the "Mega Drive" name in the US. The Mega drive/Genesis version of E-swat is my favorite of the "ports" because i like the music and stage design more than in the arcade version (i especially liked stage 2 of the Mega Drive version).
