I like inter.funda.stifle a lot more than fables...is that weird? thank so much for uploading all this by the way. I might've already said that on another video...don't wanna go check haha
the piano and is it the guitar? in the background of the song??? whatever it is,it sounds godly,a beautiful much,i could comment all day on how this song is great but words cant even describe how great they are
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs. This band is brilliant and it's a shame they're not huge. They're like Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Three. They're all bands that are amazing and truly unique and that have something to say, but are for the most part ignored by the masses in favor of the generic mediocrity on the radio. It makes me sad, but I'm proud to be a fan of their art and I hope they keep making beautiful and intelligent music for years to come. I can't wait for the new album
I agree with this band being overlooked but PT and opeth arent really. They are popular with progressive music fans and opeth is also popular with metal fans.
i think porcupine tree and fair to midland are bands that people could get into pretty easily if they tried. Opeth is harder to get into though.
my favorite fair to midland song most impressive everything about it broken foot swine flew shogun got cheated endless deaths totaled cars lost music broken heart i still got this song
Lyrics are now in the video info. Mind you, the reason you cant find the full lyrics is because FTM never posted them online. The version they posted had the second verse taken out for some reason. So im not sure if the second verse is right, its just what i think it sounds like.
I just listened to this whole album after getting in Fair to Midland by stumbling across them here on Youtube... and it was fantastic!! Just the blend of soo many musical genres to create this unique sound, I love it! Amazing vocal talent too :)
Its not really a song, its just an outro to Upgrade^Brigade and an intro to Quince. Whats wrong with it? I think its necessary for the progression of the album so it doesn't start right after the song before it.
3:40 is one of the coolest parts. Love this band

"I forget for some time, I've been underground and dug to the sound of your breath"
Still one of my favorite lyrics ever

So you guys know, you can skip to 1:20 to get right to Quince. Just for those of you who didn't care for the first song =p.

Because compared to this, Say When is an embarrassment.
Cajuncooked666 2 years ago 2
And I thought Say When was an amazing way to end a CD.
I was as far from right as I could be!

I think it's a song about a coming-of-age, and the overwhelming power of responsibility.

what does IFS mean?

inter.funda.stifle = the name of the album
amanuelamanuel 2 years ago
inter - to bury
funda - fundamentals, basics
stifle - i dunno....
so far it makes sense, from ccsl to ifs, they buried their old style in a sense.
tapirdrummer 2 years ago
Stifle
verb (used with object)
1. to quell, crush, or end by force
2. to suppress, curb, or withhold
3. to kill by impeding respiration; smother.
verb (used without object)
4. to suffer from difficulty in breathing, as in a close atmosphere.
5. to become stifled or suffocated.
pretty much what you were already saying
something along the lines of "crushing the insides of the fundamentals"

An abreviation of the album name, duh.

@codfish6677 i agree with you about when the bough breaks there is a purpose and quince sounds much better after an intro.
