Jim Carey, Damon Wayans, and D.A. Grier were much more prominently featured than Foxx. Eddie Murphy had BH Cop, Coming to America, Harlem Nights.

Eddie Murphy is really underrated as a comedian. There are 3 types of comedy that most comedians perform. 1) Stand Up, 2) Sketch, 3) Film/Sitcom
Chris Farley was great at 2, ok at 3. George Carlin was great at 1, not good at 3. Richard Pryor was great at 1 & 2....above average at 3.
Eddie Murphy is the only comedian I can think of who ranks an A+ at all 3.
