Its a film so the producers win!! . . . . .but what a film, nothing else in its genre compares to this, Donnie, Darren . . every one should be so proud...music should stand the hairs up on the back of your neck and a good/brilliantly made film has you climbing out of your own reallity and into it, this fight seen is the best, gotta have the film, is it subtitled or dubbed into English ??

@r32monkii Traditional Martial arts like wing chun have it's ways and techniques to counter whatever situations.I am a 2nd dan black belt in Taekwondo,my first and main martial arts style and I am 4th duan in Wushu,I stopped Muay Thai at the age of 15 but held a brown 3 ranking but currently taking up boxing as past time.And no I have no interest to become an instructor,I was one atleast but will be stopping all these practices soon as I have found life's calling in prayers.

I'm no professional, but in terms of one practitioner to another, pretty close. Both are strong, both have different fighting styles and both have different techniques. One's a heavy hitter that uses his upper body, the other uses the whole of his body, speed and technique.

The first round was as real as it can be in real life... Im a wing chun fan but.... yeah, if that really were to happen the outcome would be the first round... because boxing is something that ip man has never experienced... blocking hooks and raw power is different from all the Chinese martial arts... i believe that if ip man had training against a boxer then he can adjust

Watching this again:

The ref was a pretty straight shooter, he had to up hold all the rules in place and all the new ones that the judges make up, whether he agreed with them or not.

If he started making bad calls in favor of Ip Man just because he felt he should of won he'd be a hypocrite. It's not his job to call shenanigans on the judges, just the boxers. If you watch, he actual calls Twister out on punching Ip Man after the bell.

To be fair though, kicking + boxing = WTF
