  • What kind of colored pencils did you use to blend them so well ? Were they PrismaColor ?

  • @Mtndew560 yes prismacolors.. a 24 set. part of blending the colors is just common sense, pretty simple just try do it by layering not pressing too much on the paper. go from light to dark that way if you mess up you can still fix it.

  • your a great artist!

  • @Cinnamonster100

  • awesome! and why aren't we encourage to use black? my teacher also often forbids us to use black. why is that so?

  • too much black makes it look flat and 2d

but some black makes it look 3d

finding the right amount is key :)

    hope i helped

  • omg jack jonhson!!! btw ur really good =D

  • Nicely done. Nice approach. Thanks.

  • You have a really good grasp of color theory, I like it.

  • Wow, impressive! I'm actually also studying arts, but my teachers suck. This video happened to teach me more than 2 years of school.

    Thanks a lot!

  • this was helpfull very helpfull...thanks and who are you? your awsome <3

  • glad it helps....

  • thank you

its very very very beautiful ^_^

  • this was very helpful, and your drawing is so interesting!

  • Thank you this helped more than other videos!

But my question is the name of the first song in the background music!:)

  • I always move dark to light, and I always use black. The first thing I do is to put in all the pure black, and then move from there. It works great, as does yours.

  • yeah its fine..whatever works for you..in this case are color pencils so its pretty difficult to get the right color intensity...so you have to build up colors slowly...plus if you go dark first its hard to get other light colors afterwards....unless you force it..but its always up to who ever does the drawing.and experimenting to get an original and creative piece..but i also like the concept of black and than building other colors on top of it. really interesting pieces come out of it..

  • i have drawing someone whit black hair so how i get black whit brauwn ?

  • combine colors..black can be null..so use other colors like brown and blue and green combine...or darkblue with brown..experiment..

  • why not using black ?

  • black is too harsh, unless of course the image should have black. youll get a more refined and better definition if you use the darker colors and avoid using black.

the face for example, you would use browns reds and blues to aid in the values and not use black for everything.

  • this was really helpfull.

  • Thankyouthankyou!

    So glad I found this!

  • You made my day. Thanks.
