You may know this, but just in case (since her name is not in the description) this is Allison Moorer, Steve's wife an Shelby Lynne's sister. She has several albums out.
@darlincommitme Yup...found that out in short order....can't stop listening to this and Allison (Soft Place to Fall) and Day's aren't long enough, and Goin' down with Shelby...fantastic shit! So pleased to have an intelligent comment posted back :)
in case you haven't noticed, steve earle is quite eccentric and often tries new things. In fact, no two of his albums sound alike to me. In my opinions, this just shows his dynamic talent. I agree with the guy that ranked him with lennon, dylan and young. What a remarkable musician
@sgslider Totally with you on the comparison with Dylan. I "discovered" Steve about eight years ago despite loving some of his 80's stuff. I heard "Fort Worth Blues" on NPR and had to buy it. I saw him on this concert tour and hope to see him this summer when he tours with an actual band.
Thanks for the vid!! This song has become a personal fav of mine,( well ok along with most every other Steve Earle song), But this one I find myself playing alot lol. Especially since i moved closer to my rents , now they love it too !
Saw him last night in Glasgow, with Allison and the same DJ, Neil McDonald. He still was allowed to sing but I think his mic was turned off. Used the DJ on quite a few songs and it generally worked quite well. Steve needs a band though to really rock.
Thanks for posting this Viky. I have this but hadn't seen it this far in. Someone take the microphone away from the DJ! Even better, take the DJ away all together....
Steves voice is just horrible now

She has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. I came on here to see Steve, and his partner is making me melt...

Intelligent comments are rather rare around here. Glad you are enjoying Allison.

This song proves that Steve earle is right up there with Dylan, Young and even Lennon. Thank god the man survived the demons.
