I am very happy I stopped drinking when I was twenty-seven. I am now fifty-five. This past Christmas, lots of well meaning people asked if I would like a drink. I don't want to drink and have lost the desire I once had. Before, I was becoming more and more addicted. Today, I am free.

Hazelden and their 12 step religion has no higher a success rate than "quiting" on your own. Please do your research - joining a 12 step cult is unecessary for quiting a bad habit.
