I remember at start of university I heard this coming from someones room and expected the next notes to follow, but to my surprise, a new sequence played (at 6 09 for about 20 seconds ) I found out it was from the american version with the orange cover. it shows how well they had cut it for the red british version.
Without any question, this is not only Emerson's greatest recorded performance, but quite probably the greatest single organ performance by ANYONE. It is a masterclass in superior keyboard artistry: inventive and pioneering, exciting, it seamlessly wends its way through a multitude of styles, a true fusion of rock, jazz, and classical before 'fusion' really existed. Emerson's technical facility here is perfectly married with an uncanny musicality and dramatic dynamics. This is pioneering.
I think the picture at 2 . 40 was from the bath festival 1969, not as big as the next years one.
