  • I think the picture at 2 . 40 was from the bath festival 1969, not as big as the next years one.

  • I remember at start of university I heard this coming from someones room and expected the next notes to follow, but to my surprise, a new sequence played (at 6 09 for about 20 seconds ) I found out it was from the american version with the orange cover. it shows how well they had cut it for the red british version.

  • I'd be inclined to agree with your assessment there Jon. It's also fucking great to dance to.

  • Without any question, this is not only Emerson's greatest recorded performance, but quite probably the greatest single organ performance by ANYONE. It is a masterclass in superior keyboard artistry: inventive and pioneering, exciting, it seamlessly wends its way through a multitude of styles, a true fusion of rock, jazz, and classical before 'fusion' really existed. Emerson's technical facility here is perfectly married with an uncanny musicality and dramatic dynamics. This is pioneering.

  • awesome performance, Emerson at his best, many thanks for posting
