  • Not good that you can hear the track groaning under the weight. A relaying needed perhaps!

  • Are you gonna catch her next weekend?

  • All I can say is,,, WOW!! 5/5*

  • I hope and pray you were wearing ear plugs for the part at 3:39.

  • I think they need a bigger turntable lol. how big is that one?

  • I really wish they would paint white trend around her wheels.

  • Wow She Is Literaly Hanging Off The Turntable!

  • All she needs now is white trend around her wheels.

  • It's worth seeing definetely, I've seen about all the West Coast Steamers in action 3751, 2472, 3985, but the 4449 is an entirely different experience, the sound the look is just something out of another world, any chance you have to see it, take it

  • wow, that's awesome! that's what I wanna see the next !

we don't really get whistle from 3751 when she was at Union Station.

Hey, did you able to see UPP passenger cars 'Stanford" & "Sunset" at the portland station?

  • Thanks for all the comments, didn't expect this video to get this popular being the 1st real video I've made for years

  • How long does it take to get from portland where 4449 is to portland station?

  • If I were doyle, that would be a very good run for prepparing to go out of state.

  • Great video 5*

  • Sorry you'll have to get use to the new light, it's the original style and it's staying, besides the old 2 bulb one is out of commision so to speak. You'll get used to it.

  • it's OK, i just like the other one better...

  • I agree with many on their opinion on the new mars light. I like and appreciate both of the mars lights. However, I felt like the older one had a bolder look and flashed more resilliantly.

  • Awesome!

  • I like 4449's new light! Her "as-built" appearance is complete!

  • Was Doyal the engineer, because itdoesn't sound like his blowing style, he usually does a quill at the beginning of each honk.

  • I believe the loco crew was Doyle as the engineer and Luke Johnson as the fireman.

  • Doyle was the engineer, and Pat Tracy was the fireman.

  • OK, sure looked like Luke in this video.

  • Nice. I plan on chaseing the 4449 across Michigan in July.

  • I have a lot of connections with friends of the 4449. I'm looking to start volunteering with my new schedule which allows me to

  • Sweet video! Do you belong to Friends of the 4449?

  • where are the dayllight cars trailing? lol

    great northern?!

  • Awsome! The mars like looks really nice! That's so cool with all those crossings there. You really get to hear thw whistle.

  • New mars light looks good! Now all we need is a string of Lark or Daylight cars trailing!!

  • I kind of miss the old one. The new one looks too yellow. Are they going to change it back?

  • I agree, I liked the old one better. To me, I felt it was a combination of the twin sealed beams of a Gyra light and the rotation pattern of the original Mars light. I hope they do change it back.

  • Hopefully before the trip in July...

  • They have been working on this light for some time. It is very likely that this will be the one that stays.

  • Well, tell them I don't like it at all. I want to see the 2 beam mars light back.
