  • Gotta say I miss Tony for his optimism and logical approach to all he dealt with. RIP fellow Tull fan and Ohioan

  • Happy Birthday Tony! You are missed.

  • They don't make men like Tony anymore. Sighhhhhh

  • Just an incredible light of a human being who left way too soon.

  • what a treat and I'm very jealous. RIP Tony

  • what a treat and I'm very jealous. RIP Tony

  • excelent!! mmm... a question, this concert...... Where it was realized?.. and what year?? thanks

  • I miss Tony Snow.

  • Why can't this guy be as big as Beck... replace him even? C'mon America, make it happen! Tony Snow! Tony Snow! Tony Snow!

  • great video,,im a very huge tull fan,,,,and i really liked tony snow,,he was a nice humble man with a great big heart,,its a shame he had to leave us so soon,,,rip tony.

  • Ah Tony, a fellow SNOWflake just linked to this site.

I'll never forget your invitiation to stop by Fox Studio and visit. You were a true gentleman.

Heck you even defended Bob Beckle everytime someone would something mean about him.

  • Tony Snow.... what better that a man than one who loves Jesus and Ian .....

  • Spoken like a pompous arse Josh. Hows that Hope (Having Others Pay Everything) and change working out for you??

  • Haha, I just love the guitar player in the back.......he's entertaining to watch play.

  • Tony was a real man.

  • Thinking of you and how much you are loved and missed.

  • "ditto" I hope your playing up in Heaven Tony

    miss you

  • we miss you, Tony

  • Sweet. I now have new respect for the newsman. Who knew he was a Tull head...

  • How can you play flute and NOT be a Tull-head? :)

  • Good point. He was a minstrel in the news gallery..........

  • oh i completely missed the transition at 1:24, my bad, the second one is locomotive breath. sorry

  • That wasn't grimminellies lament, that was locomotive breath

  • The first was Grimmenelli's Lament.

  • The first tune was Grimneli's Lament (from Anderson's solo album "Rupi's Dance").

  • Great!

  • RIP "snow job"... the greatest cincinnatian

  • is that a ,,, black flute i see or a poorly lit stage...?

this is so amazing.. i love how his tounging is a beastly amazing thing, and he is just so.. enthusiastic. he makes an amazing stage presence, and does things with his flute that i could only dream of.. (i have been playing for almost six years, all with school band and four with private instructors as well)

  • then create something new. play with your flute dont just follow the music. Jazz people make their own thing thats why its they look like they're having fun

  • thank you...

  • Aww... I misread the title as "Flute Dual"

  • hahahaha :DDDD

  • ugh me too lol

  • I'm sure Ron Burgundy would be jealous.

  • @CerebrateHyatt

LOL i was thinking the same thing. was that solo in the movie based off of this guy?

  • Ian played Griminelli's Lament with contest winners all over the country. I was fortunate enough to be one of them in October of 2006. It was certainly one of the musical highlights of my life. It's weird to see Tony Snow doing the same thing. He obviously had some musical talent (as well as similar musical tastes to my own) but I really hated him for all the lying he did on the behalf of the White House. Rest in Peace.

  • Jethro tull in their prime in wich i saw them play many times as i other bands,in their time there was in my opinion no band better, you may not like their style of music call tull many things but DULL no way i suggest listening to the CD BURSTING OUT LIVE at an extremly loud volume, as for tony snow a great conservitave he will be missed

  • Being a JT fan i agree with you totally..They were tight as drums musically...But since the music was very intricate,,,thats what IMO makes them the best...because they played it to perfection

  • Just shows that Ian is a nice guy, to play with Tony Snow! Well he wasn't all that bad for a Fox anchor. Its always the good guys that go, why couldn't O'Reilly kick the bucket?

  • It's hurts so bad that he's gone. RIP Music man

  • This makes me cry.

    We lost so very much.

  • Incredible

  • Wow! This is so cool - I had no idea that Tony Snow could play flute and play it well. And jus to think he was on stage with Ian Anderson, one of my alltime favorite players who took the stodgy starch out of the typical image of flute playing. God rest Tony Snow's soul. He was a true gentleman and a kind spirit.

  • Zinnington seems to be quite the Obama-sucking puke. "Politics of Personal Destruction" is the left's mantra...and they try and hang it on the repubs.

  • Zinnington, your hatred consumes you as a cancer does to good men.

  • i wanted to say that im sorry for your loss of tony to his family. he was a very neat awsome man with a winning smile.its a shame that he is gone. he did play the flute awsome, and more cool is that he played with my favorite artist of all time ian anderson.how cool. well tony may you reat in peace. we will miss you.

  • The Snowman can pipe. God Rest his soul.

  • Zinningtion, move to Europe. Hell, I bet everyone here would chip in and buy you a plane ticket, and a binky to go with it. Your the perfect example of the mentality that is destroying this country. Go join the commune you Bolshevik

  • How little you know. Why don't you take your self to a golf course and a country club and have a good cry.

  • As an old old tull fan and a Toni Snow fan,I "Winked" a smile when I saw toni playing with Ian.good for toni and thank you Ian for making that happen for your friend.

  • I had just heard the news yesterday on the way to work, and even though I may not know the gentleman personally... his soul had touched mine and I started to tear up (even as I write this comment), he seemed like a very kind, sweet and loving man (conservative or not).

Tony Snow... you shall be missed!!!!!!

    God Bless ya!!!!!

  • awesome

  • I find it amazing that in a country with so much going for it, that it's citizens can garner all the hate for each other.

  • zinnington, that was an evil thing to say.

  • So is Trillions in debt. Un affordabel food prices. People losing their homes and jobs. The Dollar is dead and two complete assholes running for President to replace some the worst evil men who ever got a hold of this country. For you as well go drink some more of the the Bush Kool Aid. Go tell Rush Limbaugh to comfort you. Mabey he'll pay your mortgage for you. Snow was one their usefull idiots. Pray you still have a job this week. Pray we still have a country this time next year.

  • Zinn excuses himself: So is Trillions in debt. Un affordabel food prices. People losing their homes and jobs.

    ---

Zinn.. no matter what other people do... YOU have chosen to be evil.

Do not imagine that because others do things you disagree with, that it somehow makes you a great hero and a deep soulful character.

    You are simply evil hearted.

  • Zinn: Being a hero is not my aim.

Well, you have succeeded. You are no hero. You are an evil minded person, masquerading behind patriotism.

As far as jobs are concerned... I have more work than I want and frankly, the only person I know who is unemployed is a friend who quit his job and has not bothered to look for another. But then...

I am not working in a "bubble" industry.

  • Ah yes I'm evil because I disagree with you and your duped Kool Aid sipping clowns. Today the Dollar was declared dead and that it no longer "the" standard. We'll see how long you non bubble job lasts. I now only hope the next one who leaves us is the remaing Kennedy. So he too can join the rest of his brood in Hell.

  • Zinn: Ah yes I'm evil because I disagree with you and your duped Kool Aid sipping clowns.

    ---

I do not know why you are evil, but I doubt you are being honest in expressing the reasons. After all, evil people will lie.

But.. the more the dollar falls the more jobs there will be in the US.

  • Yea some jobs, $9.00 bucks and hour for all those insignificant "working class types" After all they're not rich and they don't count. We'll just open the borders more so we can let more Mexican idiots in. Who knows there still plenty of people in India and Pakistan who will come over and work cheap.

  • Zinn: Yea some jobs, $9.00 bucks and hour for all those insignificant "working class types"

You just got finished bitchin' about jobs going away, and now that you were wrong about that you are bitching about how much you IMAGINE they might pay (perhaps based upon your own paycheck).

    Depressed much?

  • He was a good man weather you agree or disagree with bush don't take anything away from Tony Be thankful God left the likes of you alive

  • People like you have a COLD BITTER HEART!!!!

YOU SHOULD THANK GOD THAT YOU HAVEN'T BEEN ON ONE OF THOSE PLANES DURING 9/11!!!!!!!!!!

OR BEING VIDEO TAPED HAVING YOUR HEAD CUT OFF WHILE YOU WERE PLEADING FOR HELP!!!!!!

MY POINT TO YOU IS EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY DISAGREE WITH THE MAN (WHICH HE IS AND YOU'RE NOT) YOU SHOULDN'T BE THAT HARSH TO HIM!!!!

  • As a matter of fact I came within inches of losing my sister that day. Your reasoning is ridiculous. Lost your job yet? You must be one of the upper crust. Like $4.00 for gas? How bout the wonderful food prices? Lets see how bout this ridiculous mess in Iraq? Can you afford a vacation this year? How bout Trillions in debt. Lose your house yet? Man you had all the Kool Aid.

  • To Zinnington: I still have my job! My house is paid for, so no mortgage! Food prices...a bit high, so I grow my own, and give the rest away to those who need it. I have and will again help people keep their homes by loans and direct charity. You see Tony Snow INSPIRES me. You depress me. Tony shows me how to be! You show me what to avoid in life. Tony is not here to defend himself, and in any case would not waste his time. So I pause, briefly, to trifle with you. But I should know better.

  • Wow your still atit Look out your small little brain might explode. Anybody that would try to make these gangsters in the White House look good either is an idiot or just as bad as they are. Now go be a good little neo Conservative and go play a round of golf so you can figure out who you are going to fornicate this week. Talk about playing the flute while Rome er America burned. Your type amaze me, your no conservative. More Koolaid.

  • I also saw this tonight on Greta's show, I thought wow Tony was just a regular guy, who love Tull's music! I wish I could have sat down with him to ask his thought on Tull's songs from the wood, Also thought it was funny Tony was there to interview Ian & Ian had questions about Tony's job & politics RIP Tony and as Billy sung, "Only the good die young"

  • Sharing a stage and playing the flute with Ian Anderson: It's just too cool.

Tuned into Greta Van Susteren's show tonight just as Ian Anderson talked to her by phone from, I think, Germany. Anderson said of when they first met that he wanted to talk politics with Tony. All Tony wanted to talk was music. hahaha!

  • I agree with cfatd on both of his points. 1) Forget the politics. It is shallow to like or dislike a person because of their political point of view. Political belief doesn't make a person good or bad. 2) I heard a clip on TV of Tony playing Bouree and man did he sound good. Maybe he could have made it as a musician. God bless Tony Snow and his family.

  • Very cool! I love Jethro Tull, and Tony held his own! God Bless Tony and his family!

  • Classic Tony Snow. RIP forget the politics, but this guy could of had another career I believe.
