  • I like them both. I'm about to upload a video of real love CHIPMUNKED, and it sounds good.

  • Maybe the best version would be to use the original pitch, but a faster tempo.I don't understand why they didn't do that in the first place.

  • Part of it was because of the quality. They had to make it suitable for release so they tried anything and everything to make it as suitable for a release as possible.

  • So in other words, they sold themselves out for a hit?

  • I fully agree!

  • The Beatles always did stuff like that so its not as if they were departing from usual studio practices. Anyway when the song was redone for the Anthology, the software to change tempo and keep pitch was probably not very satisfactory.

  • This is true. Especially on their later stuff, they usually lowered or raised the pitch ever so slightly. The songs that come to mind right off hand are Strawberry Fields Forever, Rain, and Here Comes the Sun.

  • @BurtBenz I did it, check my channel, I kept the original pitch, so no chipmunks there, but I speeded it up to match the final version, so I could sync it with the video. it's the "final speed original pitch" video I uploaded.

if I did it a home with a regular home pc and the anthology 2 cd as the source, THEY COULD HAVE DONE IT TEN TIMES BETTER IN THE STUDIO!!!.
