  • What is the board grounded to? :) Rocking it back an forth is grounding it out I think.

  • Use a heat sink, I bet the CPU is instantly overheating

  • Hi!

My motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R X58 S-1366 ATX) and my PSU

    (CORSAIR TX 750W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V) will they work togheter?

I know there is an 8-pin motherboard connector on it... but it says 1x ATX12V 2.2 / 1x EPS12V, like if they were in two peaces?

Does this mean I only have to plug in one of them (which one) or do I need them both?

    Thanks in advance.

  • The problem is you

  • @Phoenixx45 +1

  • what an idiot, YOU NEED A CPU COOLER, you most likely have destroyed your CPU already, and thats why it isnt booting, 200+ dollars down the drain buddy

  • plug ur psu into another board, if it works then your board is eff'ed. if it doesnt, then you psu is eff'ed

  • FF right away means the board isn't working right, which is correct since no 8 pin is plugged in. and when it is plugged in without a heatsink its insta overheating, my guess is you killed the board and CPU doing that.........

  • @moose51789 if the board got killd u wud have seen smoke or sparks of any kind

probaly your 8 pin connector got a short circuit in the power supply, try a 8 pin converter from a normal molex connector

  • The reason it doesn't work with the 8-pin is because the CPU is overheating. When you unplug the 8-pin it works because the CPU isn't powering on.

  • i have a cpu cooler, i'm just showing you that it runs without the 8-pin and then it doesnt with it.

  • OMG, DO NOT RUN IT WITHOUT A CPU COOLER silly. put a CPU cooler on it and it should run fine.
