Love them all...Noah and Nellie, Rhubarb and Custard...Chorlton and the Wheelies, Captain Pugwash, Bagpuss, Mr. Ben...and if I dig even further; Fingermouse, Crystaltips and Alistair and the erstwhile Magic Roundabout. Sigh. Fond memories and big smiles :O)
Wow! The first TV show I can ever remember. I thought it was from 1976, but I might be wrong. That theme music is just awesome and takes me back to the days when I was a grubby faced little urchin - I want it on my mobile phone!
@aditay I think it may have been made in 1974, but the BBC repeated it for a good few years after. I can certainly remember it being shown at the back end of the 70's.
no way..i thought for years id imagined this show as a toddler..always remembered the phrase "all aboard the skylark"..youve made a chap Very happy....Cheers
@wolf2323 I thought the same haha, I had a noah and nelly pop up book as a kid, I loved this show...although it wasn't a patch on Chorlton and the Wheelies...
LOL never ever thought in a million years that i would ever ever find this again - used to watch this, - for some strange reason my mother used to like this too, she found it quite amusing - mmm LOL never mind mum LOL
noah went on star in many Hollywood movies; nelly turned to heroin. The two headed balloon ship seen here was auctioned at Christies in 1996 for $35m. Noah bought it for creator George Calverley. Marvellous.
I remember this being on just before the 6 oclock news.
